It would be wonderful if babies could just tell you that they don't feel well. It would save so much time and efford playing the guessing game.
Yesterday, I dropped Reyna off and picked her up from Sara's. She was fine. We headed to my mom's, she laid down. When I got her up, I made her a plate of food, which she wouldn't touch. It was macaroni & cheese. Okay, that should have been my first clue.
We packed up, headed to Jade's soccer game where Reyna wasn't acting herself. She still had not eaten and wasn't in the greatest of moods.
The game ended, we pakced up, said bye to Jade (he's leaving for the weekend) and headed down the road. We weren't two minutes down the road when it happened.
The moment I have been dreading.
Reyna got sick.
I don't mean a sneeze or a cough.
I felt terrible for her. I didn't know what to do. I pulled over as soon as I had the chance. I had nothing with me, except for a few babywipes and Jade's soccer socks. They definitely became multi-purpose socks that night.
So, we got home. Reyna was running a fever. I put her into the bath, cleaned her and put her to bed. My mom (who is a Saint!) came with gatorade (nurse triage line suggested it) and helped me clean her carseat.
She hasn't been sick (thank God) again and was acting a little better this morning. Her fever is low-grade and she went back to bed this morning.
I felt so bad for her. Hopefully, she will be her spunky old-self later on.

Awww, the poor girl! :(
I have been following your blog lately and I am adding it to my "Blogs I like" links. Hope that's ok! :)
poor reyna. i remember when max was sick and throwing up... ALL OVER ME... so horrible. i am just dreading the next time he gets sick. it wouldn't be so bad if they knew what was going on. :( i hope she feels better soon.
It is the worst feeling when they are sic and you can't do anything to help them. Poor baby. Hope she is feeling better soon and that you and Jade don't get it!
Poor girl! I hope she gets better soon!
Oh nasty LOL I HATE the baby barf - seriously, so gross! Morgan has been sick a couple times in his 3 years but the worst is when it's in the car, I hate trying to get it out of the carseat!
I had to get him at daycare once cause he wasn't feeling good and he yacked the whole way home ewwww!
Hope she is feeling better soon, they do bounce back quickly. Our doctor said give them whatever they will take fluid wise - as in watered down juice, gatorade or whatever. Pedilite is great if she'll drink it, Morgan won't have anything to do with it.
Poor Reyna. Jocelyn got sick for the first time a few weeks ago on the way to church.
She looked at me, said uh oh, and all over the car seat it went. So gross.
Ewww. Puke in the carseat is the worst. Porter barfed a couple weeks ago in his carseat after eating a hotdog at Target. He thought it was funny... he was laughing and saying "I trowed up! HAHA! I trowed up!" and I turned around to see hot dog chunks all down his chin, the front of him and on the carseat and seat. EWW!
I hope Reyna is feeling better soon!
oh poor reyna! i hope she is on the mend - puking sick is no fun!
