Fact:My child is STILL wearing Summer dresses. She would like to wear them OUT of the house, but I have to put my foot down somewhere, right?

Fact:Yes, that is Buns (Hank) wearing a Winter hat. Reyna brought him in last week and said he was, "freezing mama".

Fact:We have the sweetest bunny. He has to be, to tolerate R&R.

Killing my brain cells

Jade signed up for this magazine thing where you get a really good deal...not really sure how it works, but anyway....He picked all outdoor mags..I was a little uhm, bummed? He said I could call and switched, but that sounded like work.

They sent a letter saying that we were getting a bonus magazine for signing up. I was pretty geeked when it said US Weekly.

Sweet. I admit, I am a sucker for celeb gossip and all those shows that probably kill off your brain cells.
When I told Jade we were getting US Weekly, he was like, "No Les, isn't that a weekly news magazine?"

Anyway, the mail came yesterday and I was thrilled to see our magazine subscription started! I was thrilled to see I will now get a weekly dose of celeb gossip waiting for me in our box.

Was Jade excited? If I put it in the bathroom, I don't think that he would ignore it. :)

I love him and all of our different tastes, too. :)

The man of the house.

This has been the man of my house since Thursday night. Isn't he a handsome, thing? For the most part, things went pretty well while Jade was gone, but the girls do have a cough going on. Last night, we stayed @ my parents and Ruby was awake off and on most of the night. I might have had 3 hours of sleep? Needless to say, the girls were ready to have daddy home and I was ready to have my hubs home.

Sunday

We went to Cadillac for a wedding on Saturday and Sunday was spent outside most of the day. Jade  rotatilled the garden so it's all ready to plant, while I played with the girls and messed around with my plants. Of course, the inside of the house was completely ignored and it is still being ignored this morning. I have come to the conclusion that the messier it gets, the more it gets ignored. 

We had a gorgeous day here, yesterday. The girls played outside most of the day. I set up the sprinkler for them and they splashed in that for a while. Reyna loves pushing Ruby in her swing and everytime she does, she insists Ruby needs one of  her blankeys. Or, her "bebes" as what Roobs would call it.

I will get to it this week. We enjoyed two delicious mornings of Jade's breakfast....scrambled eggs w/ homemade fried potatoes & this mornings was blueberry pancakes shaped like Mickey ears (Reyna's request), a fun day at my parents house with my grandma & a delicious dinner of take-out that night. Today, nobody got out of their pj's. I have not blogged, checked my e-mail and I have checked facebook maybe once or twice. It has been sooo nice.

Everything that we enjoyed this weekend was far more worth the dirty dishes that are sitting on my counter as I type.

Today I am thankful for the heated seats in my vehicle that give me a toasty tush on cold days like today.

Her prince charming

Tonight Reyna & I were cleaning up toys before Jade read to her & put her to bed.



Reyna:"Mama, I am a princess. Did you know that?"

Me:"Yes, honey. You are my princess. Do you have a prince charming?"

Reyna:"Yes, I do. Daddy is my prince charming & I am not willing to share him."

She adores her daddy.

I just love her....

Everyone should have dinners like this

It was a pretty ordinary dinner.

It did consist of family who has moved back.

And little girls who like to act crazy.

Two Ruby's from two generations.

Lots of smiles & continuous laughter.

Lot's of commotion, but hey, we wouldn't want it any other way.

A Papa who just adores his little ladies.

 A tiny tot who loves to climb, hide & get herself into any little spot she can find.

And delicious homemade apple pie that was just "thrown together" last minute. :)

My morning came too soon

Today was made possible by these two yummy babies. I just found a delicious new K-cup and dang, did I need them today. My lovlies decided to wake up @ 6:00 am. Yes, you heard me right. Tha crack of freakin' dawn. Jade is out of town until later today, so he wasn't home to experience morning before the roosters start crowing, because I am pretty sure we were up before they were. Luckily, the girls have been in good moods, but at 9:00, Reyna asked me if it was time for lunch and if it was, could we eat in the dining room today instead of the kitchen. I think that the was moment I knew today was going to be a long day.

Poor babe.

Ruby is sick. Well, Reyna and Ruby are both sick, but Ruby went to the doctor today. She tested negative for strep and is no longer heading in the direction of dehydrating like she was this morning, thank God. I took the day off to stay home with the girls. Jade just got home from work, too. He isn't feeling so hot, either. I guess it's just that time of year!

This picture was definitely pre-sickies. I thought it was too cute.
