- See above picture....I took that a week 1/2 ago and since then, our garden has doubled in size. We are now picking fresh lettuce daily and yummy green onions. Our squash, green peppers and hot peppers are ALMOST ready. This year we planted... from left to right; sunflowers, yellow squash, zucchini squash, cucumers, green peppers, jalapenos, chile peppers, green beans, raddishes, red onions, green onions, lettuce, tomatoes (two kinds: beef steak and mini cherry), potatoes, pumpkins. This is my favorite year for having a garden. The girls LOVE helping, which makes it so much easier.
- The girls & I had the chance to see Ashley, Ryan & the kids this week. I cannot believe it has been over a year since they have been gone. Time goes by so fast, doesn't it?
- Our weekend pretty much stunk, I am not going to lie. Last Friday night, I took Reyna to express care @ 9:30 at night. Her mouth was so swollen. They treated her for an absess tooth. Jade used to get these when he lost baby teeth. They gave her antibiotics and sent us home. We finally tucked her in around 11:30. It was such a late night. Saturday morning, I took my 14 year old kitty, Lucy, to be put to sleep. She was my cat that lived @ my mom and dad's. She was very sick. Oh, and to top off everything else, Jade's uncle passed away from a long battle with brain cancer. We were definitely ready to kiss this past weekend goodbye. This post has been a work in progress all week and I am so excited to say hello to this weekend. We are camping complete with kayaking, fishing and lots of s'more making.
- Have I mentioned Ruby is potty trained?? Have I mentioned I am SO glad I will never be going thru the potty training stage again?!?! It's not that it has been hard, but it's a lot of work. I will say, Reyna was a lot easier. She picked it up one day and that was the end of that story. Ruby has had a few accidents. I know this sounds kind of funny, but when I ask her if she peed her pants, she completely denies it. And she is really, really serious about it, too.
- We have started taking Reyna to tennis clinics and she is LOVING it. She cannot wait until the next one. I think she is going to start gymnastics this fall, as well. How is she getting sooo big????
- This is all I have for now.....

Bullet's

We're almost ready
- What have I packed? 6 magazines, 1 book, my laptop, camera, video camera and a dvd player. That's it. I have not packed one article of clothing. Zip.Zero.Zilch of the girls' stuff. I haven't had any motivation to get ready, even though I am excited to go.
- I think it's because I am tired. Jade slept in Reyna's bed, Reyna slept in our bed and I slept on the couch last night. Ruby? She was the only one tucked into her own bed. Don't ask.
- I asked Jade if I could take our Keurig with us up north. I think he thought I was joking. I wasn't.
- I plan on blogging quite a bit while we are up north. I want to remember those little details that take place. You know, the ones we can never seem to remember even though we try our hardest.
Have a happy Friday, ya'll.

nitty gritty
I am in the middle of the book, "I Will Carry You" by Angie Smith. Do you read the blog Bring the Rain? If so, she is the author. It's a great book, but if you know her story about Audrey Caroline, just get your box of Puffs ready for the book, as well. I love how she ties her Christian perspective in with the loss of her daughter. I have had someone ask if they could borrow it, but after she is done, I will be doing a giveaway for this book. It's a great read. Stay tuned. - I bought shorts. I don't think that you really heard me. I bought shorts. Do you know how long it has been since I have even batted an eye at a pair of shorts???? Let me clarify, I did not buy these shorts because I have some awesome figure after having children, I bought them because holy hell, has it been hot in Michigan. NOT complaining, but it was definitely time to break down and buy some shorts. Ps...I am still using the, "I have a post baby body excuse." So tell me, how long can us mama's use this??
- I think I need to stop adding to do's to my "to do list."
- Reyna asked me tonight if Nellie would be coming back to us. When I reminded her Nellie was in Heaven, she asked me where Heaven was. She has been asking me some tough questions lately.
- Our poor pug. We dropped her off at the vet Friday morning to be spayed and have her teeth cleaned. She is home with sparkly clean teeth, trimmed nails, no chance at getting knocked up and a hefty bill attached to her. We love her so.....

Bullet style Saturday
Bullets is what you are getting tonight. It has been a while since I have posted updates, so here it goes:
I am losing my job. Not quite yet, but I am down to a measely 10 hours per week. I work two afternoons and my mom is with the girls while I at work, so we cut out the cost of our babysitter. I did qualify for what is called underemployment. I am enjoying being home with the girls. I don't feel as guilty when I take the time to clean or do laundry when they are awake. Before, I felt like my time off should be devoted to them, so I had that guilty feeling when I wasn't spending all of my time with them. I work for a non-profit and the program I work for is not receiving our grant after September. I will have a job until September 31st. I am bummed, but I am hoping that something good comes out of it. It is just the thought of looking again and getting acquainted with new people.

Reyna was excited to have the UPS man deliver a package for her the other day. Thank you, Great Gran and Great Papa.
- I wish you could see my house right now. You would probably fall over when you saw how messy this joint is. I am embarrased. There is a big box in the living room, pillows strewn everywhere from the couch, dishes everywhere in the kitchen, certain scrap stuff I gave to Reyna that she is cutting up and playing with, blankets, shoes everywhere, panties (don't have a clue how they got there) in the middle of the living room. Its an absolute nightmare. And yet, I sit here blogging and watching Reyna cut paper up into tiny bits and pieces.
- I am so excited. Jade bought me a bike trailer for my birthday. I put it together and tested it out tonight. The girls loved it. In the morning, we are all going for a bike ride on the trail.
- Yesterday, I went to Milford to visit one of my favorite gals in the whole wide world. We went to Archivers and bought some of the latest and greatest scrap stuff that we just had to have, ate dinner at Baja Fresh and headed back to her house to scrap. Well, I did organize my scrap stuff, but Kristin introduced me to another reality tv show and it sucked me right in. We watched three out of the five episodes and I fully intend to plant my butt in the recliner and watch the next two on hulu tonight. Oh, did I mention my house is a pit? I don't care, Bethenny takes presidence. Kristin and I had a blast and it was a blessing Em spent the day with the girls so I could leave and not have to wait for Jade to get out of work. You can read about R&R's day here.
- I am going to try and blog more often. I have so much to document, but the day ends and I forget to type it out. That is my goal (one of the many) for the month of July.
- My Aunt and cousin flew into Michigan yesterday. I cannot wait to spend some quality time with them for the next week. Reyna is very excited to have Louie here to play.
On a more serious note....

Ruby loves to play with sunglasses. I don't let her touch mine, but Jade has a bazillion pairs and she
plays with his.

Reyna was excited to have the UPS man deliver a package for her the other day. Thank you, Great Gran and Great Papa.*I need to add this in, I just asked Reyna why my underwear were in the living room. Her reply? "I was just throwing them at Bobo." Ay yi yi. My poor pug.

My week-Bullet style.
This week has been kind of a blur. It was the first week I was with the girls by myself. I was spoiled to have had Jade home and then my mom was off of work last week. I remember a few random things from the week, but like I said, most of it is a blur.
- We bbq'd with friends on Labor Day. I wish it would have been a nicer day
- Survived my first outing with the girls by myself on Tuesday. It wasn't getting out of the house I was worried about, it was the fact it was raining buckets, we had a far walk and Reyna has a tendancy to dawdle...especially in the rain. In the end, all went well.
- Some of the Feister family came over Tuesday evening to visit us. As always, it's always nice to visit with family.
- Jade had his last golf league Wednesday, so I packed up and headed to my parents. 10 minutes down the road, something sounds like it is dragging under my car. Reyna is pissed because she can't hear Laurie....I swear. I pull over because my hormones are raging and my first thought is that it is my gas tank and we are going to have an explosion. I freaked, I cried and called my mom knowing Jade wasn't in town due to work. My mom rescues us, the tow truck comes and I later find out that it was my exhaust and the clamps that hold it in place had been manually clipped. Apparently this happens quite often...people steal catalytic converters for lots of $$. Luckily, it wasn't expensive to fix, but I am wondering where in the hell this happened. I guess I should mention, nothing was stolen off of my vehicle, they only clipped 3 out of the 4. I was lucky.
- I was able to get out of the house sans the girls and head to Starbucks for a caramel macchiato. I also squeezed in a Target trip.
- I grocery shopped this morning with Ruby. We were out of pretty much everything in the house. I spent way too much money, but now we are stocked up. I hate running out of stuff to eat.
- Ruby was three weeks old yesterday and I am still sitting here wondering the the heck time has gone?!
- Reyna has been saying the funniest stuff. That's a whole new post in itself. Yesterday she asked me if she could have a piggy bank ride.
- I have been looking forward to tomorrow all week. I am heading to Macy's for a few "must haves" with my parents and the girls. Jade is golfing with his uncles.
That is pretty much the week in review. Like I said, being sleep deprived, I only remember bits and pieces. :)
