Happy 80th

If I had one wish today, it would be that we had you here to celebrate your day. Just one more day here. Wish us. It doesn't sound like too much to ask. I miss you today. A lot.

Ruby's party.

We had a family party for Ruby the weekend prior to her birthday. It went so well. Of course I was ready to have a panic attach 30 minutes before the party due to the fact I decided to make the cake & the cupcakes. The chocolate for the cupcakes could not be made ahead of time and everything was fine, I was just being crazy. I get like that everytime I host something. BUT, it was the first time I put my cake & cupcake skills to the test and they had to be perfect, ya know?! haha!

Roobs had so much fun. She is so funny though. She doesn't over exert herself. At one point, she was a little sleepy and while all the other kids were running around, she was laying on the couch, sucking her thumb with her bebe's in hand.

She received so many nice gifts from everyone. Whenever someone asked her what she wanted for her birthday, she said "Stompeez & cake." Of course, we had to get her stompeez. They get horrible reviews, but whatever. She wanted them and she loves them. What else did she open? Melissa & Doug playfood, a FAO Swartz music box, suitcase, cowgirl boots, money, art supplies, a Leapster explorer and several other things, but those are the things that I can think of.

I did take a little bit of video at the party, but the pictures that I posted are not the greatest. I didn't take that many. I ate cake with my girl, played, visited, ate chicken tacos and had a really good time celebrating Ruby turning three. I did not want to spend the day running around with my face behind a camera. And you know what? It felt pretty darn good.

Numero tres

Ruby. Three years old. Where has the time gone? I think it goes faster with a second. Well, even though she is the sassiest, most dramatic girl, she is also the first to snuggle, give kisses and tell me how much she loves. me. xoxo Roobs. You definitely complete our family.

Weight: 30 lbs.
Height: 37 inches
Favorite color:green
Favorite food: .....according to her..strawberries, french fries (Reyna chimed in and said her fave food was cake pops. Jade OF COURSE was right there and gave me a look like, "is that ALL you do is frequent Starbucks??" oops) :))))
Favorite show: Team OomiZoomi
Favorite things:Obviously her bebe's (blankets) and thumb, dresses, puzzles, going to the park, playing with Reyna, popsicles, going places...she LOVES Meijer & Target, JoAnn's....she is a really good little shopper. She also LOVES the water.
Things I don't want to forget:Roobs loves her sleep. We were at a birthday the other night. She was having a great time, but it was getting close to bed time and she didn't get cranky, but she came up to us and said, "I'm tired, it's time to go home. I want to go to bed." She could care less what is going on. If she is tired, it's bed time. She is also a pretty big couch potato. We definitely have to monitor her TV time. She could sit in front of it all day long.

The first picture I posted??? Yeaaahhh...that was taken this morning and that was also after I said, "smile Roobs." See the craziness??

Happy, happy birthday (belated) to my AMAZING Grandma!

On Sunday, we celebrated my Grandma. We celebrated with family who came into town just for the weekend (hi Aunt Diane:)) and cousin's who chased butterflies together.

We celebrated with sleeping little babes who were doted on the entire time. I mean, how could you not soak up identical twin baby girls AND a new little baby boy in the family? It was hard to resist.

We celebrated with some good conversation and adorable little smiles. She just adores her Uncle Bobby, I tell ya.

Are they not the cutest??? I would love to tell  you which twin is which, but I have forgotten already! To top it off, one had to have her outfit changed during the party and that screwed me up even more.

We celebrated with rosy cheeks from running around in 85+ degree weather.

And last, but not least, I think I can speak for everyone that we all celebrated my Grandma and her health. As of right now, she is doing amazing. Her doctor called her "a miracle." She was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer 1 1/2 years ago and other than taking chemo, you wouldn't even know she has cancer. So, happy birthday to you, Grandma and cheers thank God for miracles.

Birthday Part 2.

I was so excited to make Reyna this cake since it was her first year celebrating her birthday in school. The cake was really good. Will I make it again? Yeah, probably. The only problem I had with it was getting the cake out of the pain in one piece. It was a pain in the arse trying to get six different cakes out every single time. I did exactly what the directions said and they still gave me a fit.

Do you love her headband??? :)

Ruby was sooo excited to sit with Reyna and her friends. Everytime we drop Reyna off at school she asks me if she can go to school.

The inside of the cake. The birthday girl loved it.

Reyna's birthday weekend.

I knew that I didn't want to have a ton of people at our house this year for Reynas birthday. That is what we have always done and I wanted to do something different this year. Every single year, I get all crazy the day before a party: the house isn't clean enough, there won't be enough food, we won't have enough to drink or enough variety. I get cranky and filled with anxiety. At least I admit my problem, right????

We ended up taking her to an indoor waterpark about an hour away from our house. It was the perfect size for the girls' age. Plus, it was close enough where our immediate family joined us  for dinner and presents the first night. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to take pictures while the girls were swimming. Jade & I were in the water with them the entire time. Boo. :( Oh, well. We had so much fun. We were able to swim Saturday all day and Sunday.

Love this picture. Can we say silly?! :)

Taken at dinner...post swimming, no make-up, hair up kind of look. :)

Reyna was so excited to open presents and so was Roobs.
You can stop growing anytime now, little lady.

Nana & Papa got her a robe.

Ruby cleaning up her cupcake mess. No evening would be complete w/out one of the girls making some sort of mess.

It was such a fun weekend. We arrived at the waterpark around noon, had fun and went swimming all afternoon until everyone showed up. Bobby & Kaitlyn went swimming with us until it was time for dinner. We decided on Applebee's. It was about the only place we could get in with such a large party. Afterwards, we went back to our hotel and had cupcakes and opened presents. The girls had so much fun spending the night at the hotel. I was slightly nervous since Ruby is a pretty light sleeper, but they were both so good and slept like rocks. In fact, we all did. Sunday morning, we woke up, went out to breakfast, packed up our stuffed, checked out and swam some more.

Ruby keeps asking how many more sleeps until the waterpark. Jade told her tonight if she wanted to go for her birthday, that is what we could/would do.
