Friday Night Leftovers-Busy weekend edition

  • I love days where we get to see Kristin and her mom. The girls, my mom & I met them @ The Tree House for playtime today. The girls had so much fun. I love, LOVE the ages that they are at. The girls played while Kristin & I and our moms talked.
  • Our weekend is pretty jam packed with stuff. While I do love having things to do, I am sure we will all be exhausted by Sunday night.
  • Jade is playing tennis tomorrow and we are going to go w/ him. The girls & I are going to go shopping while he plays. Afterwards, we are going to grab lunch, do a little more shopping and then head home. I need to help Reyna with her Valentines day cards for her school party.
  • Have I mentioned we are going to have identical twin baby girls born in my family? NO, they are not mine! hahah. My cousin is preggo and is due in April. Her older sis is due, as well so lots of babes. They are having a shower for her, so we need to find her something for these two little ladies.
  • I am still happy to report that Ruby is staying in bed and sleeping like a champ. ALSO, girlfriend has been wearing mainly big girl underoos while we are home. I don't dare take her out in public yet w/out a diaper, but she is making progress.
  • I am going to take a cake decorating class. In fact, my friend Michelle is taking is with me. I am so excited! :)

Friday Night Leftovers-

  • Jade is currently working an hour away from home. Lately, it feels like we are roommates. He has been leaving early in the morning and getting home late. I am not going to lie, it is draining. At the end of the day, I have nothing more to give. I am exhausted, he is exhausted. Thank goodness it is almost over. I miss him and so do the girls.
  • New Year's Eve. Tomorrow??? Wow. This year has just flown by. Jade & I have decided to break our tradition of going out to eat with my side of the family (11 years) and stay home. I purchased crab legs & steak + red skins and stuff for a greek salad. With all of the Christmas hustle and bustle and Ruby is hit or miss in a restaurant, home is our best bet right now. We were invited to a few parties, but once again, we wanted to be home.
  • I asked Reyna to clean up her closet tonight before bed. She had emptied dress up bins. It was a mess. A few minutes later, she walked out of her room so I figured she was done. Me: "Reyna, did you clean your closet up"? Reyna: "Yep, I turned the light off and shut the door".                            I guess she went for the out of sight, out of mind approach.
  • I am thinking of trying Bare Escentuals/ Bare Minerals makeup. I asked my peeps on Facebook the other day and there were several who really liked it. A few said Origins, as well. Any feedback? Do you recommend something else? I need to switch my foundation.
  • Jade & I are getting to watch, "Water for Elephants". LOVED, loved the book and cannot wait to see the movie.
  • My house is completely De-Christmas'ed and it feels soooo gooooood. I am just not a clutter bug.
  • I am hoping to put my mixer to good use this weekend and some homemade bread.

Friday Night Leftovers-Christmas Edition

  • I am SO excited for Christmas. I have been ready for Christmas for a while now, so there hasn't been the pressure of needing to get stuff the done past few weeks. The girls and I have just enjoyed baking, crafting and hanging out. Plus, the girls are at such fun ages. I think that is what is making it fun, as well.
  • I had the pleasure of visiting with my high school girlfriends last night. Our friendship have lasted for 25+ years. I am going to blog about our night, but it is just amazing seeing these ladies. I adore them.
  • After this post, the wrapping begins. I don't have a whole lot to wrap. The majority of the stuff was already wrapped from our local toy store, but there is still a few things left to do.
  • Jade and I have been discussing what time we think the girls will wake up Christmas morning. We are thinking early. I told him he'd better be ready to spring out of bed because they are going to be itching to open gifts.
  • I know I have neglected my poor little blog lately, but after the holidays, there will be time. :)

Friday Night Leftovers

  • It is in the 30's here and the girls are running around the house in their bathing suit. How do kids stay so warm? I want to know their secret because I am drinking coffee, wearing sweats+sweatshirt+slippers and socks.
  • I have felt defeated this week. My job as a stay at home has been exhausting. I am not going to lie.
  • Having my grandparents here is so nice. Maybe I can strike it rich and buy them a condo for the summertime here in Michigan? A girl can dream, right?
  • Yesterday, I helped in Reyna's class. It was fun to watch her interact with her peers. She was very well behaved. I felt very proud to call her my daughter.
  • It was a takeout kind of night. There was no cooking for this mama.
  • My attempt to pick up leaves today was a failure. I am pretty sure I stared at the leaves praying they would blow in our neighbors longer than I actually raked. Jade is so much better at that kind of stuff.
  • My bedroom and dining room are going to get a makeover. I am exploring colors, ideas and other fun things!

11.04.2011

Friday Night Leftovers

  • Yay for a kid free weekend with my fabulous cousin, Kristin. Woot! The plan? Eat, shop, sleep, talk, and of course, enjoy my kid free time.
  • Ruby thinks it is fun to get on the couch and play with the thermostat. grrr..I reamed Jade the other night for the cold temp in the house and it turns out it wasn't him. We found the culprit.
  • My grandparents will be here at the end of the week for almost a month. Does it get any better than that???? Nope!
That's all ya'll. I have bags to pack. :)

Day #4
Today I am grateful for my cousin & friend, Kristin. This could be an entire blog post, but she is one amazing chic. :) Cheers to girls weekend.

Friday Night Leftovers

  • Ruby checked out well at the doctors today. Her lungs sounded clear. Whew. What a reflief. Dr. W. said she can scale back her breathing treatments to morning and before bed.
  • I cannot wait for her to be off her steriod. It is making her a crazy girl. She has been throwing fits for no good reason. The only problem is they last longer than normal. I am so over it.
  • I am working tomorrow for a few hours and I can hardly wait. I am not going to lie, I need a few hours out of my house by myself.
  • When we were at the hospital, Ruby was so clingy to me. It was over the top bad. She wouldn't even let me go into the bathroom w/out her. I had to wheel her IV pole and her into the bathroom just to pee. Wednesday morning, the nurses were so sweet, they unhooked Ruby from her little security tag so she could walk down to the coffee shop with me because they knew she wouldn't stay with them and they knew I needed a good cup of coffee. ((Coffee is just one of those things I cannot compromise on. It has to be good or it is not even worth it.))
  • Have I mentioned Reyna is collecting pits? It is so random, so my daughter and so disgusting all at the same time. Everytime she eats a fruit with a pit, she washes the pit and puts it on the window ledge in the kitchen. She would never forgive me if I threw them away. She claims it is her collection ( just like Ariel has a collection).
  • The picture that I posted yesterday of the girls looking out the window was not taken after Ruby got sick. It was taken last week when everyone was still healthy. I wanted to post it sooner, but it just didn't work that way. :)
  • Jade & I TRULY appreciate the e-mails, the phone calls, the care and concern. Thank you.

10.07.2011

Friday Night Leftovers.

  • After tonights spaghetti, I probably will not be buying another jar of Prego anytime soon.
  • I am still getting used to Ruby's hair. It is going to take a few days. Thank you for all the sweet comments. I am better now. A couple have asked how did we handle the situation with Reyna. Well, when she saw how upset I was, I think that was enough punishment. It made her upset, too. We talked with her quite a bit and I think she felt really bad. Of course, we went thru the famous good choices and bad choices talk.
  • We are going to the apple orchard tomorrow. Mmmmmm...donuts + fresh cider.
  • Has anybody watched the show, "Pan Am?" I have it on DVR and I am curious if its good or not. If so, let me know. I will probably start watching it this weekend. :)

9.30.2011

Friday Night Leftovers

  • I had a Neurologist appointment this morning. Okay, 11:15. That is still morning to me. Anyway, I dropped Reyna off @ Aunt Mollies and took Roobs with me. Let me just say, thank goodness I have a Neurologist who has grandbabies R & R's ages and so does his staff. He told me it was fine if Ruby just ran around and that his wife would keep an eye on her. Seriously, I love his office and his staff. Okay, and their stash of candy that the girls love to dig into, as well. :) He increased my dosage of meds I take on a daily basis because I have had to go into to Express Care two times in the past few months due to migraines. He ALSO gave me a scrip for anti-nausea meds that I also took when I was preggo. They work when I start to get a migraine, as well. My stomach is the first thing that is affected and therfore, I cannot get foot into my stomach. The anti-nausea meds completely get rid of the nausea and actually help me get rid of a headache on top of headache meds! Does this make sense??? It is a huge relief to me. Once again, I love my Neurologist.
  • I was going to order pizza for din din, but the weather is awful and yucky here and that would require getting out to pick it up. I am thinking something quick and easy that is already in the house.
  • We have a family friend visiting this weekend. He is staying with my Uncle Dave, so they are both venturing out our way tomorrow and spending the night. It will be like one big slumber part-ay at my mom and dad's because we are all staying, too.
  • I may or may not be making a trip to Macy's this weekend.
  • I borrowed Bridesmaids from my lovely neighbor/friend and plan to have a chick flick/popcorn night tonight! I have heard it is hillarious.
  • A recipe or two from Annie's Eats will be on my menu for next week. My mouth is watering just thinking about them. :)
  • You could not pay me to go into a haunted house. I am terrified of them. Am I the only one???

9.23.2011

Friday Night Leftovers-The 600th Post Edition!!!

  • Not gonna lie, it has been one of those days. To top it off, Jade did not get home from work until 8:00. This day was overflowing with tantrums, too much whining and crying, not listening and a two year old who was sassing me left and right.
  • When I got out of the shower today, I found Ruby on the kitchen counter, sampling the fruit in the fruit bowl. There was three empty gum wrappers next to her. Miss thing pushed a chair up to the counter and had herself a good ol' time.
  • The girls & I went to Flavor Fruit Farms today. For those of you who are not from around here, it's an apple orchard with very yummy doughnuts and cider. It is nice to go during the week when it's less crowded. It is that place that is so busy, it's almost annoying. We met a group of mom's there that I get together with twice a month. While we were chatting, I look over at Reyna by the animal's that were in the fence and she is walking around with a chicken in the crook of her arms!!! Only my child. She is like the animal whisperer. Yes, she sanitized her hands after she let it go.
  • I just finished, "The Help" and LOVED it. If you have not read it, I recommend getting it. I have not finished a book that quick in quite some time. I just started, "Heaven if for Real". It also has really good reviews. I will keep ya posted.
  • I am looking forward to tomorrow night. Some of us ladies from high school are meeting up for drinks. A girlfriend of our's just turned 30.
  • Do you know what is really annoying??? Preparing a meal that in no way, shape or form out of a box and then having nobody eat it! I swear, I am going to start buying frozen meals. The girls appetites have been so hit or miss lately.
  • I really want to go on another Disney cruise.

8.26.2011

Friday Night Leftovers-"No you are not drinking coffee @ five years old" edition.

  • The girls & I went to a friends house today for a playdate. Her family owns a huge dairy farm in the area. The girls? Yep, they were in heaven. All day, Reyna has asked, "when are we going back to Mamanda's(Amandas) house??"
  • I finished, "Water for Elephants". LOVED. If you are looking for a good read, I recommend it. Next week, I am going to watch the movie with my grandma.
  • I just found out that Gymboree has a new fall line coming out Monday with Pug's! I cannot pass this up. Bobo will be excited about it, too!!! hehe. :)
  • There was a frog in my house yesterday. Loose. Guess who was behind this crazy chaos? Uhm hmmm.
  • Do your kids have chores that they do on a regular basis? Just curious....
  • Jade brought me flowers yesterday & cooked dinner. He is a saint.
  • I am still trying to figure out how to get out of bed early to get Reyna to school on time. I swear, I blame my laziness on the Pug. She is sooo lazy. I wanted to get up early this morning and the only thing that woke me was the smell of sausage cooking. It was like the sight out of a movie. I followed the smells of sausage and coffee to the kitchen.
  • I want a new wardrobe. Is that too much to ask???
  • "Mama, when I turn five, do I get to drink coffee like you??" -Reyna

8.19.2011

Friday Night Leftovers

  • I don't have a lot of leftovers tonight. I did want to share a couple of really cute pictures from this morning. Reyna now has a new favorite dress. Nana & Papa just came home from Costa Rica and they brought Reyna home an adorable beach-like dress. (Roobs is getting one for her b-day.)
  • When the picture was taken of Reyna & Kramer, she of course told him to smile before I took the picture. I love her.
  • Ruby realized I was taking pictures and wanted me to take a picture of her and Bobo.
  • Tomorrow is birthday day!!! Time goes by so fast.
  • I asked Jade if he would go pick up the cake in the morning and he offered to grocery shop for the party. I am still trying to figure out what he wants. hehehe. :) Kidding! He is just a good hubs. He is going to take Reyna after breakfast and head to the store.
  • More to come tomorrow!!!

8.12.2011

Friday Night Leftovers with a couple pictures

  • We went to the fair last night with Bobby & Em. The girls had so much fun. I will post tomorrow.
  • It was a really good week. The girls & I had two playdates that were a lot of fun (for all three of us!!) and then I met up with some girlfriends for a night out.
  • I want to see the movie, "The Help." I think I will read the book first.
  • I miss my mom and dad. They have been in Costa Rica all week and I miss their morning phone calls. Plus, the girls have been asking about them. Good thing they are coming home tomorrow!!! :) Geesh. It's only been a week. I have always told Jade if we ever moved out of the state, he would have to move my mom and dad, too. :)
  • Jade took Reyna to Ludington for the weekend. Him and his dad were taking some clients fishing. So, it is just Ruby and I for the weekend. I am definitely looking forward to spending some one on one time with my almost 2 YEAR OLD!!! Gah!
  • When Ruby wants something, she says "pweassssseeeee." It is so drawn out and dramatic.

8.05.2011

Friday Night Leftovers

  • I didn't think that our Wii was working anymore. It was a real bummer because we received it as a gift not even a year ago. Jade's mom did purchase a warranty, but I had not taken the time to look for it. Did you know that all of the cords actually need to be plugged in for it to properly work??? I was relieved to know it was not broke, but felt like a dumb ass knowing it was just one of the cords. I checked them all...or so I thought. Ooops. I am excited to be able to use my Wii Fit board again.
  • I tried turning our air off for a day and we all slept like poo. Needless to say, I turned it back on. It helps with my allergies and we all sleep so much better.
  • The girls & I made a library trip today. It was pretty successful until then end when Ruby she was leaving at that very second. She attempted the elevator button and when I gave her "the look," the little stinker just opted for the stairs. So, I gathered up our stuff, Reyna and out the door we went. Luckily, Reyna knows how Ruby can be sometimes so we laughed about it on our way out the door.
  • I told Reyna on the ride home that I was going to run errands tonight by myself and of course, I got the teary eyed look of, "why the heck would you wanna ever do such a thing???" This mama, needs a night out to get a few things accomplished.
  • Do you know what has been on my mind all day?? Blueberry pancakes and blueberry cobbler. Mmmmm.. I cannot wait.

7.29.2011

Friday Night Leftovers

  • Everyday, Reyna is some kind of new animal. The past few days she has been a chicken. Today? She is a whining dog, maybe? I haven't really guessed what it is. This behavior has rubbed off on Roobs. Her choice animal is a frog. She make a pretty cute one.
  • Okay, now she is moo'ing.
  • So, I am pretty excited for tomorrow. We are heading to the D (Detroit) for a Tiger's game. Not only do we have great seats, but we have passes into the Lion's Den. Afterwards, we will definitely be Greektown bound for some yummy food!!!! Jade & I are definitely looking forward to hanging out with Brad and Stacey tomorrow night. Even though we had a weekend away last weekend, I cannot turn down a date night with the Mr. and some of our very dear friends.
  • So, last weekend I bought this gorgeous color and now? I love Essie. OPI has always been my choice polish, but I think I may have found a new one. I love the colors that Essie has. Plus, I painted my nails and it has stayed "pretty" for several days now. It is just now starting to chip and this is after weeding the garden, doing dishes, washing my hands etc....
  • I am getting ready to read, "Water for Elephants." Have you read it? If so, what did you think?
  • Grocery shopping?? I am going by myself this weekend. When I told this to Jade, he said, "how about we all go as a family?" Uhm, nope. Miss Ruby is so difficult to take and I need to stock up. It is going to be one of those trips where I just need to go alone.
  • How is it that Reyna will be starting school in another month?
  • It is not even 10 pm on a Friday night and I can barely keep my eyes open. I am so old.

7.22.2011

Friday Night Leftovers

  • Yes, it is hot. No, I am not going to complain. Our summers do not last long enough and before we know it, Michigan will be chilly and everyone will be boo hoo'ing that it's too cold. So, for now, I am going to enjoy it and make the best of it. So there!
  • I dropped my wedding rings off yesterday to get sized. I finally had to bite the bullet and do it. They have been tight since I was preggo with Reyna and never really "fit." I am feeling slightly nakey w/out them and cannot wait to have them back. Reyna asked if I was going to get married again since they were not on my fingers. Yes, I really did ask Jade if he would marry me again with a pretty new diamond band to add to my finger. :) Unfortunately, he turned me down. I am not giving up!!!! lol.
  • Jade and I are getting away! Did I mention this??? Reyna is in Ludington for the weekend soaking up Lake Michigan and Miss Ruby gets to enjoy Aunt Emmy, Uncle Bob and my mom and dad. We are so very thankful for everyone making this weekend possible. Jade & I are taking our camper and camping on the river...taking our kayaks, relaxing, sleeping and enjoying each other. I cannot wait.
  • I just purchased a light for my Kindle, so I am anxious to get a little reading done, too!
  • Oh, have I mentioned my love for cooking products???? I went to Kohls' last weekend and picked up three Food Network storage bowls. I admit, they were way too overpriced. My brother kept telling me to go pick up the same thing at a garage sale for a buck, but I just cannot bring myself to do so???
  • Every morning, the girls & I go out to the garden and pick fresh veggies. Really, it's like a little slice of heaven. Each day, we have fresh lettuce, green peppers, cucumbers, zucchini and a handful of others if we choose to pick.
  • My baby...2? In less than a month? Say it ain't so.
Have a great weekend ya'll!

7.15.2011

Friday Night Leftovers.-The "Yes, it's been a while" edition.

  • I have not updated. My poor neglected blog. With Jade's grandpa, life and everything else, I haven't had the energy. Plus, nothing going on feels like it deserves a single post? Little things here and there are happening, but nothing is worthy of it's very own post...or so it feels like. I think that is the lazy side of me talking!
  • My mom & I ventured to Milford last Sunday for a girls day with Kristin and her mom, Kim. We started with lunch in downtown Milford @ The Milford House. It was very delicious. And after our ymmy lunch, we headed to Twelve Oaks for a little shopping. I treated myself to a bottle of Philosophy lotion, Amazing Grace. Oh, my. Have you smelled this? It is a little pricey for a bottle of lotion, but the way it makes my arms feels and smell, it is sooooo worth it. Do you use any products by Philosophy? If so, what. I would love to hear! I also found a pair of black Anne Klein flats from Macy's. I scored a pretty decent deal on the shoes, which justified my lotion! Overall, we had a fabulous day and I look forward to our next day out with Kristin and Kim.
  • Tuesday was my birthday and I am officially, "29 and holding." We went to The Beach Bar with my parents, brother & Em, Jades mom and dad, Grandma, Aunt Mollie & John and my Grandma. The food was good and the company was even better! I am excited to put my Target gift card & birthday money to good use. There are a couple of things that I have been needing/wanting....new pajamas, a light for my Kindle and a few things for the house. Oh, Jade and the girls bought me a beautiful Vera travel jewelry box. It was something I had been wanting for a while, but it was our last camping trip when I stuck a piece of my expensive jewelry in the microwave to store it that I knew I needed an alternative method. It arrived yesterday and I cannot wait to put it to good use.
  • The girls and I are really enjoying the weather. We have been going to the park, taking walks, going to the pool quite a bit. This morning we went over to my midwive/friend/Laura's house. She lives just a few minutes from us and has organic eggs and chicken. The girls enjoyed her turkeys, baby chicks, the big trampoline and we ended up blackberry picking while we were there. Laura let Reyna go gather up the eggs from the chicken coop. She thought that was pretty neat.  My little ladies could handle farm life w/out a problem.
  • We are grilling @ my parents tomorrow. My brother and I are 4 years and 1 week apart so we are having a birthday cookout. Shiskabobs. My fave.
  • I know I have not mention this since I have not blogged lately, but Ruby has been throwing things away again. She went thru this phase a while ago, but she is at it again. A few days ago, I found the phone and the mouse pad. If she is done with her food, she will throw away her bowl. I found her shoes and skirt in there yesterday. Oh, let's not forget ALL of the pieces to the fridge phonics that were at the BOTTOM of the garbage. Ugh!
  • Two nights ago, I made homemade tomato sauce from Annie's Eats. It was suuuper yummy. I liked how it was light and simple to make. I definitely recommend it.
I think this about sums up the haps around our house. Your turn! If you want more leftovers, head on over to Sippy Cups are Not for Starbucks.

Friday Night Leftovers-The tough week edition

  • Can I get an "Amen" that it is Friday? Seriously, this has been a long and draining week.
  • Jade has been working a TON, which means I have been pretty much parenting solo all week. It has been hard on all of us. He is missing the girls and I am ready for a break from the girls. Plus, they are missing him.
  • I had to say goodbye this week to a very close friend. She moved to Florida to be near her family. It was a pretty big bummer seeing her leave. It is definitely not going to be the same w/out her around, but I am definitely happy that she had the opportunity to relocate to Florida. Goodbyes just plain stink though. :(
  • I am doing some re-arranging in the house. I parted with my beloved red vintage davenport (I shipped it to my parents for my brother. I was so happy to see it find it's way to a good home!!!) this week and bought a new shelving unit/storage unit for the girls toys. I am going to move some of their stuff out into our front sitting room and make it more of a playroom for them, but still keep it clutter free. Does that make sense? We use our side door most of the time and I don't want toys piled to the ceiling and that be the first thing someone sees when they walk in the door. So....that is what I have been working on.
  • Ruby. Oh, Miss Roobs. I do not know what to do with this child some days. Her tantrums are in full force and they are far worse with her than they were with Reyna. Wanna know the kicker? She acts COMPLETELY different when she is with me or around me than she does when I am not around. There are some days I cannot even go pee without her on my lap. I love her so, but she wears me right out. Sigh.....
  • Reyna has become obsessed with chasing butterflies. We have a ton of them in our yard and they keep her occupied for hours. I love sitting on the porch watching her. She looks adorable running around after them.
  • Why is it that we have nothing to do all winter and then summer hits and we don't have a free weekend all summer long? I hate it.
  • Alright, I am done being Debbie Downer for the night. :)

6.10.2011

Friday Night Leftovers.

  • My.children.are.both.sleeping......Heaven. Reyna rarely naps, so this is just a little slice of heaven for me. It is a dark and gloomy day here. It is currently thundering and raining. It is the perfect day to nap, but I just wanted to enjoy the silence in my house. Sleeping is for the birds, right?!
  • For all my Keurig owners out there, you must run to your local Bed Bath & Beyond and pick up a box of Wolf Gang Puck Chef's Reserve Columbian Dark Roast. If you like a dark and smooth roast, check them out. I strongly recommend.

    • Our veggie garden has been planted and I am more excited than ever to have one. I think it is because Reyna is really into it this year. She checks on the garden daily and helped in the planting process. Ruby? She thinks it is fun to trample thru with her itty bitty piggy toes.
    • Jade's grandpa was put on an oxygen tank 24/7. He has this problem with his lungs where they are starting to fail him. He has never smoked a day in his life, but when he worked construction he was exposed to a lot of harmful chemicals. I know it bothers Jade a lot to see his grandpa like this. We are heading out there tonight to take them dinner.
    • Ruby peed on the potty last night. I was changing her diaper and asked her if she wanted to try. She waddled her nakey little self into the bathroom, found her potty chair and went. She was so proud, she carried it out to the living room to show Jade & Reyna. We were so proud.
    • This afternoon, I am hauling my 16 pound cat + both girls to the vet so Kramer can receive one measley shot. It is going to take more time to get my children and the cat loaded into the car than the actual vet appointment itself. Grrr.

    5.20.2011

Friday Night Leftovers-this mama is tired!

*It has been one busy day. I keep asking myself, "why are you still up????" I am heading to bed as soon as this post is finished.

*I took the girls to a dairy farm today. Our neighbor/friend works there. I think the girls (Reyna in particular) could have stayed all day. The rest of the evening she kept asking when we were going back.

*I had one of those moments tonight as the girls were going crazy, Jade was mowing the lawn, the kitchen was a mess where I just thought, "I cannot stay home anymore. I need to find a job!" I calmed down after bathtime and bedtime when the house was quiet and under control, but I was ready to lose it this evening.

*We are going to a wedding tomorrow. I am so excited to see all of my dad's side of the family. Plus, my Aunt is in from New York, so she will be here all week and at the wedding, too.

*Speaking of the wedding, I have all of our outfits laid out and ready to be packed. The wedding is 3 hours away. Tonight, I was telling Reyna what was going on tomorrow, she told me that she wanted to wear her yellow sundress to the wedding. I did not break the news to her that she is wearing something else, it was just not worth it right before bedtime. I am anxious to see if she remembers mentioning her yellow sundress tomorrow when it is time to get dressed. It will either go really well or really bad.

    *Have a good weekend.

    4.22.2011

    Friday Night Leftovers-Happy Good Friday

    • You have all viewed some of the pictures of Reyna & her crazy outfits she puts together, right? Tonight, before she went to bed, she had the nerve to tell me that my pajama bottoms didn't match the shirt I was wearing. Yep.
    • Before I had kids, if I drank coffee after 3 in the afternoon, I would be up all hours of the night. Now that I have had kids, I can drink coffee until the moment I crawl into bed and it does not affect my sleeping at all.
    • Michigan weather. There are just no words. No kind ones out of my mouth anyway.
    • Ruby pronounces strawberry so cute. It sounds like, "raw-bear-we-we-we-we-we-we. She definitely likes to carry out the ending.
    • Jade has been working a side job for almost two weeks now and while a little extra cash is great, the single parent thing is not so. I know he is extra tired, so it's definitely hard on him too.
    • We went to a farm today for an Easter egg hunt. The weather was horrid, but the kids had a ton of fun and in the end, that is all that matters.
    • Ice cream sandwich. Yay or Nay? I am thinking so.
