This morning, the girls & I went blueberry picking with my grandma. We picked a really good day to go. It was overcast and not too hot. I was hesitant taking Ruby, but she ended up having a lot of fun and picked quite a few blueberries. She took a few breaks from picking, but stayed right by me and just played.
When Reyna tells a story, she is so theatrical. I love listening to her because her eyes get huge, she uses hand gestures and the sound of her voice goes up and down. She kept calling me over to where she was picking if she found a really good blueberry or anytime she had found something "so cool." I love that the little things excite her. I hope she never loses that.
I felt so blessed that we had this day. It is one of those I will always remember. The girls had so much fun and so did I. I know I have mentioned it before, but my grandma has pancreatic cancer. It has gone to her lungs and unfortunately, surgery is not an option. As of right now, she is healthy. Well, healthy on the outside anyway. I am so glad that the girls know their great grandma and have the opportunity to do things with her. I pray everyday that she continues to feel good and stay as healthy as possible.
