If you need me, I'll be scrappin' & party plannin'

I picked up Ruby's scrap book last night on my night away from the girls shopping excursion date night with Reyna. Jade was on daddy duty last night. I had it planned at least a week ago. I took a shower, did my hair, put on something cute and attempted to leave kid free. Reyna came running out of the house whining that she wanted to go. I told her to go sit on the steps and wave to me as I was leaving. This usually works. The moment I turned the ignition key, she was wailing and running after my car. I put the car in park to stop and give her one last kiss. The second I opened the car door, she was climbing in and hanging onto the seat for dear life.

"Alright Reyna you can go with me."

When I walked inside to get her out of her nightgown and into some clothes, Jade just looked at me and laughed.

We ended up having a lot of fun. She was a good little shopper at Hobby Lobby, Barnes & Noble & Macy's. She picked out stickers @ Hobby Lobby and sipped a smoothie from Starbucks while we browsed the books. I was actually glad that she went. It was nice to spend some one on one time with her.

So, it is Sunday night and my scrap stuff is everywhere. Thank goodness for our new living room table. It holds a lot of embellies, paper and the rest of my crap. I am plopped on the floor while Jade watches River Monsters. I am determined to set out Ruby's scrap book at her par-tay on Sunday. So, I have made a pact with myself. NO FACEBOOK THIS WEEK! I will respond to messages, but that is it. I will not be dumping my time into other people's drama, status updates, who is eating what for dinner and so on. I will be focusing on Miss Ruby's party and her scrap book.

New tools.

Today, I headed over to JoAnn's with my Aunt Janette. It just so happened, all of their scrap stuff is 40% off right now. Even the brand new items they just got in. I was in heaven. I snagged two new tools today. I am anxious to give them a try. I got this new cutting tool and a pack of four circle shapes. So tell me, what is your favorite scrap tool? Since I am still new at this scrapping thing, I always love others imput.
