Friday Night Leftovers-The tough week edition

• Can I get an "Amen" that it is Friday? Seriously, this has been a long and draining week.
• Jade has been working a TON, which means I have been pretty much parenting solo all week. It has been hard on all of us. He is missing the girls and I am ready for a break from the girls. Plus, they are missing him.
• I had to say goodbye this week to a very close friend. She moved to Florida to be near her family. It was a pretty big bummer seeing her leave. It is definitely not going to be the same w/out her around, but I am definitely happy that she had the opportunity to relocate to Florida. Goodbyes just plain stink though. :(
• I am doing some re-arranging in the house. I parted with my beloved red vintage davenport (I shipped it to my parents for my brother. I was so happy to see it find it's way to a good home!!!) this week and bought a new shelving unit/storage unit for the girls toys. I am going to move some of their stuff out into our front sitting room and make it more of a playroom for them, but still keep it clutter free. Does that make sense? We use our side door most of the time and I don't want toys piled to the ceiling and that be the first thing someone sees when they walk in the door. So....that is what I have been working on.
• Ruby. Oh, Miss Roobs. I do not know what to do with this child some days. Her tantrums are in full force and they are far worse with her than they were with Reyna. Wanna know the kicker? She acts COMPLETELY different when she is with me or around me than she does when I am not around. There are some days I cannot even go pee without her on my lap. I love her so, but she wears me right out. Sigh.....
• Reyna has become obsessed with chasing butterflies. We have a ton of them in our yard and they keep her occupied for hours. I love sitting on the porch watching her. She looks adorable running around after them.
• Why is it that we have nothing to do all winter and then summer hits and we don't have a free weekend all summer long? I hate it.
• Alright, I am done being Debbie Downer for the night. :)

Dear Readers:

I started this blog a little over two years ago when I decided it was time to leave typepad for something well, free. I started typepad when I became pregnant with Reyna. It was a place where I could journal my pregnancy, keep my out of town family up and current on all the latest and greatest of what was happening over here at Casa de Collins.

There are some days where I would like to vent more on my blog, but I try to keep it fun to read and uplifting. There are some days I would like to yell, scream, cuss and cry, but I don't. Instead, most of the time, I write about what the girls are doing, how they are doing and what is going on in OUR daily lives.

I just had a chance to look back at my archives and would you know, most of it pertained to Reyna, Ruby and family, complete with pictures and milestones. If you are curious, my archives are to the right. Feel free to look back and read. :)

Just to let you know, sometimes this blog will contain other content other than the girls or my good hubby. Do you know why? Because this is my blog. I am the one and only author on this blog therefore, it is solely mine. There are somedays when I need advice from other mama's, want to talk about what I am doing with my friends, post pic's about shoes I am drooling over and so on and so on.

Writing about something other than my children does not classify me as being a bad mama. It makes me human.

I guess if you don't like my topics of choice, move on to something else.
