What's been going on? Lots of stuff.
For the past couple of nights, I told myself I was going to sit down and post. Monday, my head hurt. I went right to bed. Last night, we had dinner, Jade gave Reyna a bath, we put her to bed and decided to wash our cars. So, it was 8:30 and we were outside scrubbing bugs off our bumpers. We finished drying Jade's truck in the dark. I was ready for bed after that.
So, it's Wednesday and I am finally getting around to it.
Our morning started off less than stellar. Last night, I told Jade that my keys were in the van and NOT to lock the doors. This morning, he moved my van and left for work. I had to work today (which I normally don't) because of a staff meeting. I wanted to get to work by 10. We were packed and ready to go and we got out to the van and it's locked. What the heck. I can't see my keys because I had left them in the driver door. Of course, I can't get a hold of Jade. I forgot about his dental appt. I called several people trying to track him down. Finally, he answered and he couldn't figure out how the door's were locked because he didn't do it. He came home which was about a 25 minute drive from where he was. By this point, Reyna was trying to climb into her pool while I was trying to get her back into the house. Jade came home and realized that his elbow might have hit the lock button on accident. :)
What else?
Friday night, I headed to Archivers with Kristin, Nicole, Jane, Laurie & Maria for some scrap time and a much needed night out. I am sure you all know, but yes, breaking up is hard to do. We loved Archivers. They were hospitable, helped us out and had very yummy snacks. And we all know, it's all about good snacks when you are scrapping. The store was a scrapbookers dream. Nicole made the comment how dumb we probably looked walking around oohing and aahing at every little thing like we lived in a cave. It was quite humorous. I didn't think I would accomplish much scrapping since there was so much to look at, but I did. And yes, the night was still tons of fun despite the minor "run-in" we had prior to leaving. :) It wasn't a big deal. And yes, Jane felt awful.
Last Saturday was my birthday. It was such a great day. We talked about going to dinner at one of our favorite places to eat, but I wanted a low-key day. Jade made french toast and the coffee was brewing when I woke up. The best part? I didn't even have to clean up after breakfast. What a good hubby I have. Reyna took a nap then we headed out to do a little shopping. I wanted new tennis shoes, which I found @ Kohls. Of course, where else. I love that store. We met my parents & bro for lunch. That evening, we went to The Parlour for icecream with my parents, Bobby & Em and my Grandma.
I was so excited about my new scrap tote that my parents bought for me. Oh, I have to share this. I guess when my mom was asking my dad what they should get me for my birthday, my dad said, "oh, she wants one of those scrap totes." My mom looked at him like, "how did you know that??" He read it on my blog. He is definitely a faithful reader. Em & Bobby gave me some scrapping goodies, too. Oh, and Em picked up a gorgeous decoration Sun for our patio. I think I might save it for when we move. I also received money, two books and a gift card to JoAnn's which has already been put to good use. I ended up getting one of these, a new punch and a few other goodies. It was burning a hole in my pocket the day the mail lady dropped it off. Did I mention Reyna bought me flowers? She is so thoughtful. :) Jade's side gave me money which I am saving up for something very special.
So, here we are. It's Wednesday night. I have sat down four different times trying to finish up this post. I think that sums the last few days up.
Reyna went to bed quite early tonight. I am going to save that for another post.
Later.
