20 months

In four short months, we are going to be celebrating another birthday! Wow. Time is flying by. I haven't done a post lately on what Reyna has been doing and thought today would be a good day. Oh, before I forget, I took Reyna to the doc yesterday and when they saw her rash they ordered a strep test. It was positive. She has strep throat. I was shocked because she has been eating just fine and hasn't once acted like her throat was hurting. Our doctor told us a lot of kids will have strep but not get a sore throat and have a rash instead that is very uncomfortable. I tell ya.....

Anyway....

  • Reyna is down to one nap a day. I ususally lay her down around 1 and she sleeps about 2 hours. Lately, she hasn't sleep as well, but 2 is her "norm."
  • She is not a picky eater. She loves to chow down on cucumbers with hummus, mac and cheese all fruits and veggies, oatmeal is a must for breakfast most mornings, spaghetti, chicken, pork chops, mashed potatoes. The list goes on...
  • She is still going to bed around 7:30 and getting up around 7:30-8 the next morning.
  • Loves to do puzzles. She can sit there and they will keep her occupied for quite a while.
  • Loves to color and do play-doh. She is getting so old....
  • Has mastered the art of throwing a good ol' temper tantrum. We usually see these when we are in a store and she wants to get out of the cart or stroller, doesn't get her way or when I get on the phone. She hates when I am on the phone. It's not even worth it to try and talk on my cell phone while driving.
  • Still loves our cat, Kramer. She is now trying to pick him up. Have I mentioned he weighs around 15 pounds?!
  • Blankey and suckey are attached to her. Where she goes, they go too.
  • Loves to be outside on her swing, slide or just walking around.
  • Is talking up a storm. She will now put two words together like "more juice", "daddy's home", "Nana's house"
  • Loves to give kisses and hugs. If you ask for a kiss, she will give you one and then say, "hug."
  • Can tell you what most animals say
  • Loves to sing Old MacDonald. I sing the old macdonald had a farm, then she will say eieio. It's adorable. Also likes, itsy bitsy spider, humpty dumpty, abc's and everything by Laurie Berkner. She will now say "Laurie" when we get into the car.
  • Is recognizing colors. Her fave is green.
  • Loves to help mommy clean. I give her a rag and she helps me dust. That's my girl. :)

Kids and cats are funny. When my baby is born and he gets older I hope he doesn't start trying to pick up our cat cause she is a crabby old lady.

I can't believe she's almost 2. It sounds like she has the cutest little personality, and what a good little sleeper! You must tell me your secrets. :)

She's getting to be a big girl.
Strep you say, I'm wondering if I should take PB in. She has had a rash that will NOT go away.

Sorry I haven't commented in forever! It sounds like things are going well. Isn't it crazy how fast our little ones are growing? We seriously have to meet one day. I think her & Gavin would have so much fun together! Anyway, just wanted to say hi and that I'm still reading. Just usually to busy to comment.
