She's a tough little girl

For a Monday, it is going by pretty quick. Before Reyna & I left the house today, I put chili in the crock pot, so we will be able to eat when we get home.

I have been contemplating flu shots this year. A couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to get one and I am kicking myself now for not. I took Reyna in today to get hers. Of course, I was dreading it. I had my mom meet us there b/c Reyna would go home with her so I could go to work afterwards. Anyway, the girl laid Reyna down gave her the shot. Reyna looked at me, sat up and asked for her sticker. It was way too easy. This is the same girl who cries when she has to be weighed or measured. I was so proud of my tough little bird.

I know I have mentioned this before, but I am trying really hard to prepare for Christmas early this year. We have a few major things coming up like Kristin's bachelorette party, rehearsal and dinner, the wedding. After that, it will be Thanksgiving. Everything is just sneaking up on us. Our Anniversary is in December and I am hoping to sneak away for a night or two. We are throwing around the idea of Chicago. Jade has never been. I am still hoping for a cruise in January or February, but I think we are going to wait until our house sells. In other words, we might not be cruisin' for quite a while. hahaha.

So, with Christmas in mind, please tell me how you like to celabrate the upcoming season? Is there a tradition that you have? Do you bake? If so, what? And, how far in advance do you decorate? Please do tell. :)

What a trooper!
We usually decorate right after Thanksgiving. I normally save a lot of vacation for December just to be off and enjoy the season. Unfortunately where Christmas falls this year I had to take the week after, which is still good New Years and all. I was looking forward to Black Friday, but now not so much there will have to be some real deals to get me out.

I decorate right after Thanksgiving!! and it stays up until right after christmas! I usually have christmas at our house for my husbands side. And we go to my parents house for my side.. Shane and I started a new tradition about 5 years ago..instead of us buying gifts for our girls,at the beginning of December we stay overnight at a hotel that has a waterpark in it..and the girls remember it and look forward to it every year!! and that is our christmas gift to them (because they get plenty of gifts from family)it is special that we have family time doing something together!

the day after thanksgiving, the kids and I go on a turkey hunt and gather all of the fall stuff to put away and then we get out all of the Christmas decorations. Maybe Reyna can pass on some of her toughness to my wimp kids=)

We are our way to the doctor this afternoon! Hope G is as tough as Reyna. I usually decorate the beginning of December and take it down right after Christmas. I love it for about two weeks and then I am tired of all the clutter. I am OCD like that :)

i'm with you on the christmas decorations. i am SO tempted to start putting stuff up because i feel like it is going to get so crazy once the holidays are actually here. we travel for both thanksgiving and christmas and then actually host a christmas at our house...it is insane.

Reyna must get her toughness from her grandfathers. Dont forget your dads birthday in all that busyness. How do you do it?

Bianca did the same thing, all she did was say owie! Annika cried like a freakin' baby! It was funny!

I decorate the day after Thanksgiving, although the last year and this year I will be out of town, so I was thinking of decorating today. We'll see though!
