Zero is the key word

Seriously, I think about blogging quite often. I was laying in bed last night thinking of all the things I wanted to jot down and remember. What's the problem? I have lost and I mean lost and cannot find my motivation. For anything. It's not just blogging. If I could, Reyna and I would be hanging out in bed all day, eating dry cereal, watching Disney & Noggin. Needless to say, I won't be getting any sort of Mother of the Year or Wife of the Year award anytime soon. Poor hubs, I have been talking about steak fajitas for two weeks now. I set some steak out for last night to make them, but unfortuantely my stomach has been bothering me for two days now. Last night, Jade finally got his fajitas. He cooked them himself. I settled for chicken noodle soup.

Today was the first morning I woke up and actually felt decent. I have been dealing with acid reflux (started taking zantac. so far, so good). If it's not acid, it's a stomach ache or nausea. I swear, I am ready to feel NORMAL.

Most of you know, Jade & I were in Chicago this past weekend. The weather wasn't the best, but we had a great time regardless. I feel horrible, but I took only a few pictures. Everytime I thought about taking a pic, I thought, "nah." It was so nice to get away and have some "couple" time. I almost forgot what it was like to just spend time with Jade and nobody else. We talked and laughed and had a stress free weekend.

What did we do in Chicago? Well, Jade completely spoiled me when it came to shopping. I knew that he was going to buy a piece of jewelry, but he surprised me with a second! Several years ago, I "misplaced" a ring (I still think it was taken, but whatever). It still gives me a knot in my stomach to this day. Well, he replaced it with this one. The one I lost was similar, but a little fatter. I decided to go with the skinnier one this time, b/c if there is any chance my other shows up, I will have two different sized rings. We also spent a little time browsing Coach where I found a cute, new wristlet. I couldn't find the exact one on their website, but it's a little chunkier and the strap can be used as a wristlet or a mini-sized purse. It will be great to toss in the diaper bag and not have to carry around a big purse and a big diaper bag. I also picked up a new tube of the best chapstick ever!!! We found Reyna a new bathing suit @ Gap and a cute new pair of leggins with shirt to match. Disney store was practically giving away PJ's, so we found her some for next year. Jade found a couple of shirts, a new pair of plaid shorts and a memory chip from Garmin according to him was a "must have." When he saw the Garmin store, his eyes lit up. It was rather adorable.

That pretty much sums up the shopping portion of our trip. Really, Jade & I went at a great time. I am not caring about clothes shopping at this point and we don't know the sex of the babe, so I am not able to buy new baby stuff. It worked out well.

Saturday, we visited the Shedd Aquarium. It was quite impressive. I was a little bummed the dolphin, whale and penguin exhibits were closed due to construction, but there was plenty more to take in. I think my favorite exhibit was the Reef.

We did miss Reyna, but it was soooo nice to get away.

Very nice presents. Ugh the weather sucked this past weekend. I'm glad you still had fun.

You lucky girl! I want to be spoiled! I'm glad you had a nice time! I'm jealous, but bri and I are heading to Austin in a few weeks and I can't wait for 3 uninterrupted days by the pool, drink in hand! Send me some Reyna pics and I'll make a new banner for you. I need to make something, I'm feeling crafty!
