- We have decided to switch to a different bottle. I have been dwelling on it since I posted. ((Thank you to all who posted opinions and e-mailed. They helped a ton and I appreciate the feedback.)) I checked out some prices this week online b/c with Reyna, we recieved all of our bottles as gifts. Avent is expensive! They are 19.00 for 2 bottles! Yikes. I have decided to go with Dr. Brown's. I have heard great things about them, minus that they are a pain to clean. I plan on nursing again, so we might use a bottle a day, at most. Cleaning shouldn't be an issue.
- I have been thinking about our carseat issue. It was either pass Reyna's down and buy her something different or buy the baby one just like Reyna's and worry about booster seats in the near future. I don't want to even think about boosters right now, so we are going to get something gender neutral since we don't know what we are having.
- Washcloths. Reyna's are pretty icky and worn out.
- After talking with Jade, we have decided not to get a double stroller. We have two nice strollers that we plan on using and after thinking of how often we might use one, I don't think purchasing one is going to be worth our money. I could change my mind after the baby is here, but I am hoping we can bypass this extra expense.
- New blankets. If we have a boy, we will have to replace anyways, but Reyna's blankey she carries around are the receiving blankets we had. We rotate between three. They are a very similar pattern and she doesn't seem to mind. So, new receiving blankets and we will wait to purchase these when we find out what this little peanut is.
Other than that, I think that's it. If we have a boy, the only other thing we will need is a whole new wardrobe!
Am I missing anything???

Sounds like you have everything needed. I think the only other thing we replaced were bibs... but I made them rather than buying. I found that I didn't really need much else for the second baby!
One thought on the carseat... I'm sure you already thought of this... If I had your seat, girly, I'd hold off on buying a new seat until you find out what you have... actually I'd wait until you're ready to switch the baby from the infant seat. If you have another girl, price-wise it'd be much more cost-efficient to have the (girl) baby use Reyna's Britax and then get her a forward facing seat that converts to a booster (we have the Nautilus- $150- but I think there are a few others out there too... I think Britax has one as well?). If you have a boy, you might consider this gender neutral/boyish seat: http://www.albeebaby.com/fiprsavodeco1.html which is pretty much the same specs as the Marathon and same color, only it goes to 55lbs harness rather than 65lb. And, its $180 cheaper. The cost savings would leave you with plenty in case you decide you want/need a double stroller. Just a thought.
Other than that... I don't think there's anything else I can think of for a 2nd baby. Poor 2nds get the shaft... the older kids get/need all the new stuff! LOL!
If you change your mind on the double stroller, I recommend the following:

Cooper still enjoys riding on the back. It is certainly not for long walks or distances, but it serves its purpose for shopping trips and such.
And the only other thing I can think of is an infant bathtub - we have had to get a new one with each child, simply because the sink wasn't much of an option.
OK... sorry I haven't been commenting! You are on my bloglines but for some reason it doesn't update when you write a new blog. So I had no idea you had all these new posts. lol.
I was just looking at bottles yesterday too, wondering which kind I want to try this time. I thought Dr. Brown's looked like good ones to try, too!
If you kept pretty much all Reyna's baby gear it sounds like you've got it all covered!
I've decided against the double stroller too. Ian really HATES his carseat...and when I say hate it's not a cry here and there, he gets so upset he starts gagging from crying so hard. Even in the car. Anyway, I've decided to not use his infant seat on the stroller and to put Joss in it instead. Then I have Ian in a baby carrier since he likes to be bounced and walked. Since I can't take a whole trip of crying in the car, I have resorted to a HaloSleepsack because he loves being swaddled. I put the swaddle part under the straps then zip him up in it and buckle his seat, then swaddle him over the buckles. That way he is wrapped but still buckled properly. I would reccomend a HaloSleepsack. It has calmed him and Jocelyn instantly when they are fussy. I use it in his swing also. It helps hold in his Soothie pacifier until he falls asleep since he has a hard time keeping it in his mouth.
sounds good!!! what the heck happens to baby wash clothes??? how do they get so nasty?
We use Dr. Browns and Jake loves them. They are not too bad to clean. I am also breastfeeding so I don't have to clean that many.
