I haven't even blogged about Mothers day. Opps. If you have been following my facebook status, I have been tired. Naps are starting to become a regular part of my routine whenever possible. It's the baby's fault. :)
Mothers day was wonderful. We had a huge breakfast complete with belgium waffles topped with mounds of whipped cream and fresh strawberries, eggs, sausage and fresh coffee all by chef Jade. It was delish. We didn't leave the house all day. We did accomplish a two hour nap and didn't accomplish getting out of our pjs. Jade grilled for dinner and the entire day I felt blessed to be a mama. It's still sinking in that I am going to be a mommy of two very soon.
Yesterday, I was gone most of the morning and a little bit of the early afternoon for work. I had a work function that was actually right down the road from our house. If I had not been heels, I could have walked to work. Anyway, it was at a Catholic Church and the whole day was so nice. We attended mass, had breakfast, listened to a speaker and of course, it made me start thinking about Church and such. I was raised Catholic, married Catholic, baptized Reyna Catholic and so forth. I haven't been that faithful about going to Church each Sunday. And truly, I miss going. I use the excuse Reyna isn't good in Church, which she isn't, but that should not be my excuse. Also, I have gone to another Church near home, which is non-denominational and I loved going there, too. But, I still feel like I am not a fan of change and the new baby will be baptized (its already been planned) Catholic. So that got me thinking, "should I start going to the Catholic Church down the road and have the baby baptized there?"
I know, I am rambling.
I am thinking of starting to go to the Church near home. I think that I would be more compelled to go since its so close to home. Its a gorgeous Church. But readers, you all know what a stickler I am when it comes to change. I guess change can be good, right?
Kudos to you, if you are still reading by this point. :)
Today, we are at my parents. I had a ton of stuff to do "in town" and it wasn't worth driving home in between just for naptime. This morning, we had to take our dog to the vet. We ran the dog home, braved the crowds @ Meijer, had lunch with my mom, then headed here to take a nap. We have swim tonight, which Reyna is loving! It is my night to swim, Jade has golf league this evening. I did take a ton of pics Monday night, so I will be posting those later on.
Well, that about brings you up to speedon what has been going on. I am finishing up my afternoon cup o' joe, about to wake Reyna so she will sleep tonight.
Pics to come later on.

The church thing is a hard decision (in your case). I'm not sure what to tell you! I think as long as you really enjoy the Catholic church/faith and your kids enjoy growing up in that church, then go for the one near your house. You have a history/background with the Catholic church. However, what happens when you move? You could always go back to St. Johns, probably?
I was brought up at Bethel Baptist but have no desire to go back there to bring my kids up there. The church services were so... boring. You know my thoughts... I love WW! I was baptized at WW and we will probably have the boys dedicated in the next year or two. Once they are old enough to make the decision on their own, they can make the decision to be baptized.
I say if you're ties are strong with the Catholic church then stay with it. There's no reason why you can't visit other churches now and then when you have the motivation to do so. If you find one near your home and you love the pastor and service and it gives you more incentive to attend, then go for it! I sure wish WW was near our house... I'd be there every weekend. But its a 20+ minute drive to get to church which sucks (although I am always so glad I made the trek once I do go!).
Good luck in your decision!
Sounds like a nice, laid-back Mother's Day!
you totally forgot about you OTHER Mother's day gift! haha. I hope you are still liking it.

That sounds like one heckuva Mother's Day. Could you have your husband call my hubs? Ah ha.
How do you know Reyna is not good in church? She is such a angel.
