Because I am sure you are all dying to know what's going on around here:) .....I leave you with a few bullet points of our week.
- Last Friday, Reyna & I were at my parents when she decided that a diaper was not acceptable anymore. Today is Thursday and we are still diaper free! I am so stinkin' proud of my little lady, I could just jump up and down. She has done extremely well and even goes pee w/out you having to ask her. We have had maybe an accident a day, but today, she was accident free...even during naptime. Now, I mentioned the word "pee," but haven't mentioned poop. Yes, this is where we are struggling. I would love some (any) advice all you mama's have to offer. She went poop on the potty Sunday with Jade, but hasn't gone since. Tuesday night, I knew she had to go and was upset...I put a diaper on her and she went in that. Ever since, she hasn't gone. I told her I would rather put a diaper on her to go, as opposed to her holding it in, but she doesn't want a diaper on anymore. Today is Thursday and she hasn't gone since Tuesday. Are we the only ones struggling with that part of potty training? I would love some advice.
- Reyna woke up throwing up this morning. Needless to say, it was a day full of puke, sanitizing, lots of Noggin and snuggling on the couch. By the afternoon, she was starting to perk up, thank goodness. It is never fun dealing with a sick baby.
- Our schedules have been all messed up. Jade has been working second shift for a couple of weeks now. It's not every night, but it's enough to screw us all up when it comes to our daily life/routine. He worked Monday night and Tuesday night, but had the pleasure of staying home all day on Wednesday. We lounged in our jammies all day, cooked bacon, eggs and toast for lunch, played outside and all laid down for an afternoon siesta. Jokingly, I asked him why he had to work for a living and that I wished everyday could be like that...:)
- I am so ready to have this baby. Not to whine and complain, but I am big, tired and ready to wear something else besides: Motherhood, Mimi or Liz Lange. I went to Kohl's with my mom the other night and bought myself and non-preggo shirt. I cannot wait to do a little shopping for myself after the baby is born.
I would like to end this post and tell you that I am going to go record reciepts and balance the checkbook and finish up dishes but, I am thinking my DVR'd recordings and new magazine that showed up today is sounding a little more enticing. What do you think?

Way to go Reyna! I wish I could help you on the poop thing . . . oddly, that was the first thing my kids in the toilet (Maren stopped pooping in her diapers a full month before she stopped peeing in them.)
I am glad that she is on the mend and that you all had such a lovely day at home together - those are important to get in before life is thrown upside down!
I'm not sure on the poop, Maggie kind of just took to it. Except tonight when she pooped her pants, but I was outside putting out the garbage cans. For some reason she won't go by herself yet at home.
First off, I'm jealous of the super potty training. Gavin still isn't interested at all so I have no advice on the subject.
I can't wait until your little one comes! I bet you are ready to be done...the last few weeks are always the hardest. Hang in there! :)
Let me know when you figure the poopy thing out....Donnie got his out of his underpants and threw it in the toilet, talk about gross and having to sanitize!! He's been diaper free since Monday, but not for naps yet or nighttime & oddly enough this is when he goes poop....funny how he JUST became interested and him and Reyna are a whole year apart!:)
reyna rocks. um, good luck with the poopy end of things - i'm still having MAJOR issues with tucker on that. just kill me.
have a good day leslie!
My kid is 27 mos tomorrow, and I decided that we should begin potty training shortly after he turned 2. Oh yes, oh yes, EVERYONE told me to just wait until HE was READY, but I was all into getting him going on it to see where it led. Well, three months later, we're still working at it. Anyway. If I had it to do over again and b/c he's a boy, I probably would have waited longer. But alas, here we are. Anyway...for most of these three months he's peed in the potty (when I tell him to- never initiates it himself!) but has refused to poop on the potty. One day about two weeks ago he saw some of daddy's Reese's pieces and wanted them. And I said these are poop candies. If you poop on the potty you can have two. And what did he do? He marched right into the bathroom, sat down on his potty and went! I about fell over. Since then, he's pooped at least once per day on the potty, and gets two candies each time he goes #2. He's highly motivated by food, so maybe that's why it worked. We tried a sticker chart too but he didn't care about that one bit. Good luck!
YAY Reyna!
