Finding our groove

I have been spoiled having Jade home from work this week. I am still trying to figure out how to make him a stay at home dad who still gets paid every Thursday. Hey, it's a nice idea anyway.

I will start by saying that Ruby is such a sweetheart. She is such a great baby. I cannot imagine our family without her now.

Last night, Jade & I gave Ruby her first bath. I expected her to scream her head off like Reyna did with her first bath, but she didn't. She just sat there quietly, staring at Jade taking everything in. When we got her out, she fussed a little, but that was about it.

Before I had Ruby, I talked with Reyna a lot about what she could help mama and daddy with when the new baby arrived. She talked about giving the new baby a bottle. I have been pumping everyday, so I left some milk out in a bottle and she was able to feed Ruby this evening. She looked like such a proud big sister while she fed her. It was so sweet.

I am going to enjoy these next couple of days having Jade home. Tomorrow, Nicole is coming over to take newborn/family pictures. I am looking forward to that. It has been a year since we had a family picture taken and I am so excited to get pictures with the whole family. Sunday, Jade & I are going to drop Reyna off at Nana & Papa's for a little while we go out to lunch. It will be nice to have a relaxing meal with him. Plus, we have to run to Gap and exchange some clothes I had purchased before Ruby. I was pretty certain she was a boy. I had a friends and family pass and mainly purchased boy clothes with it. I need to take them back and pick up a few items for her for fall.
