Want to enjoy the leftovers? Head on over.
- This morning was Miss Ruby's 6 month checkup. Our little chunky monkey is a whoppin 17 lbs 5 oz and 27 1/2 inches long. That puts her into the 90% for height 75% for weight. Checking Ruby in consists of writing her name if there was an insurance change or not. I looked at the sheet and do you know, my mind went blank. The girl behind the desk looked at me and I jokingly ((no, actually I was serious)) said, "oh my gosh, do you know I forgot Ruby's name?" I felt like such an ass...
- Target popcorn and a "flushie" is a must have according to Reyna while shopping at Target. But, the scenario goes like this....$2.92 for popcorn, flushie and a coffee for mama, $2.00 extra to have van vaccumed out after spending money on popcorn because popcorn spilled all over mommy's van. So, in the end, money is spent on popcorn and the aftermath of it, too.
- By the way, mom & I took the girls to Target today so Reyna could pick out rain boots. Or, I would like to use the correct term for them: goloshes. I like that word. Reyna had her choice of Hello Kitty, Paul Frank or Green frogs. She chose the frog ones. I kinda knew she would. I asked her what color boots she wanted and she said green.
- Girls weekend with my ladies is next weekend and I am so excited, I can barely contain myself. I need this. We are scrapping, eating, sleeping, talking and just enjoying being kid free.
- Anxious to go to a fish fry tonight with some friends...mmm...I love me some fried fish. :) I will focus on healthy eating tomorrow. :)
- Two mornings ago, Reyna thought 4 am was the new 7 am and tried to start her day by helping herself to a bowl of ceral. Luckily, we finally got her back to sleep and slept right thru the alarm.
- I am pleased to announce Miss Ruby seems to be understanding that mama was getting tired of 2 am snacks and has decided to sleep thru the night the past week. Shhh....don't tell. I don't want to break her streak!

Totally with you on the use of the term galoshes! (In fact, I think I blogged about it last spring!) And if you're just talking about one, it's a galosh:) Which is almost even funnier than saying galoshes.
I love Target. The popcorn is cheaper then those little boxes of goldfish!
I do like galoshes, but had liked wellies, but now it is swampers ala Coraline the new movie in constant replay.
I miss fish fries, ever since I was pregnant, I am somewhat turned off by fish. weird.
It is not uncommon for me to stand at the doctor's office with a blank look on my face when I have to put my kids' birthdays down. I think of my birthday, my husbands, my graduation date, our wedding date... the girls' birthdays? Blank stare. I'll take that Mom Of The Year award now.
I love the term galoshes as well.
Oh Target, how I love a good Target. We are going to the "city" tomorrow and I'm hoping, which will become begging, to stop at one.
We went to Target and got our galoshes this week as well! And I do the same thing when signing my kids in . . . along with forgetting their birthdays and our home telephone number.
