Both of these pic's say a lot about Ruby's personality.

Honestly? Most days, Ruby goes thru her day always with a smile. She really has to be tired or in pain for her not to smile. Oh, and lately if you do not serve her food fast enough. Yeah, I should mention, she is kinda serious about her food. She is such a happy baby. She is constantly smiling and laughing at Reyna. It's such a blessing to have such a happy babe.

The next pic? Ruby is the laid back one of the household. We definitely feel blessed to have at least one laid back person in this house since God knows the rest of us are as high strung as they come. This pic was taken last week while Reyna was playing and I was cooking dinner. As you can see, she was just watching what was going on and was content while doing so.

While I am sad that my baby is getting so big ((18 lbs.)), it's so much fun to watch her and Reyna play with each other. She is turning into a little person and not so baby-like.

I am proud to say that Ruby started saying, "mama" last week. I told Jade that it is my God-given right to hear her say mama before daddy since I am the one who went thru labor and 14 weeks of puking my guts out day and night.

Ruby is pretty close to crawling. She can definitely move around and get where she needs/wants to go. She hasn't gone from her back or belly back to sitting yet and she is also not pulling up onto anything. I am okay with that. I did say that I like her becoming less baby-like, but let's not rush things too much.

We haven't found anything that Ruby does not like to eat. She has even started to like green beans, which in the beginning she spit at me. She is starting to sample little bites of fruit, pretzels, toast and the gerber graduate foods such as: puffs, yogurt melts and wagon wheels. Oh, I guess I should say, she doesn't like yogurt. She gives me a funny face like, "eewww..it's cold, mama."

As of this week, Ruby has started formula. I am still nursing her in the morning and night, but I am not producing enough. It's weird, because the same thing happened with Reyna @ 8 months. She is very happy with taking a bottle and seems to be adjusting quite well.

Ruby usually spends most of her day rolling around the living room while playing with toys. She is loving her Stack n' Surprise Sillytown, little people barn and a train that has animals that my parents bought her at Christmas. I have packed away her gym, given away her bouncy and rarely put her in her exersaucer.

I definitely feel blessed to have such a happy, healthy little girl.

Seriously, could she be any cuter? It's a good thing you don't live near me cause I just might kidnap her. LOL! Love her big smile!
