to adopt a doggie. :) Were you thinking I was preggo again???? Heaven's no! Jade & I have been going back and forth about getting a new furry friend since Nellie passed away last November. I had a moment a few weeks ago where I just had to have a pug. A lady/friend I work with has one and we were talking about how much she loves the breed.
Isn't she cute??? Well, she's so ugly that she's cute. :)
Here's the thing though....her name? Bobo. Not too crazy about it. Thoughts? She is 4. Is it too late to change her name?
A little background...I found her on Petfinder. The original owners were divorcing and gave her to friends. Well, the friends discovered their youngest little boy was allergic to dogs. So, they listed her. She is great with the girls. When we went to pick her up, she never barked or jumped on Reyna. She greeted us like she has always known us.
So, wish us luck as new pet owners.

Does her tongue always hang to the side, lol? When I first read "expand our family"..I will admit that the first thing that popped in my head was that you wanted another baby...lol..I shoulda known! Good luck on your doggie and fyi...yes, I think it may be too late to change the name...you may be stuck with "bobo"...who would name their poor dog "Bobo" lmao?
yey! i LOVE pugs! we had one and he was the best dog. he was hit by a car, but seriously, he rocked. you'll love bobo (even if the name is not your favorite - haha)! :)
how cute!! you are brave to take this on. :) and, i think you should change her name if you want! she can learn a new one... we've given our dog a zillion nicknames and i know she answers to some of them... so why not? :)
Oh my goodness! I keep looking at the pictures because I really can't decide if she is unfortunate looking or cute! I am so happy to hear that she is already such a good fit for your family. And maybe with enough treats and training you could teach her to respond to something other than Bobo.

You can change her name & she will adapt. You might want to find one that rhymes w/Bobo or is similar to it.

She is so cute! I love pugs but am sadly allergic to them :( I've always heard that you should change a pet's name when you adopt them, it's supposed to help them adjust to being in a new home with a new family. If the end of the name has a similar sound to it that may make the adjustment easier though. We renamed Riley when we adopted him (he was Max) and he was probably 2 or 3 at the time, never had a problem at all. Congrats!

Aw, she is cute! Congrats on your new addition! Yous should be fine changing her name. When I worked at CHS, we learned this technique:
Pick a new name that is somewhat similar to the old name. Say, Lola (or whatever).
For awhile, call the dog by both names together: Like "Bobo-Lola."
Eventually you phase out the old name and just call the dog by the new name.
Oh Auntie Em cannot wait to meet little Bobo! :) And yes, I will have treats for all your "kids!" lol!
If you don't like the name, change it... she'll pick up on it... pick a name. Use treats when you call her the new name for a week, and she'll get the hang of it.

OMG she is so ugly she is cute! Sooo cute. What's up with her tongue? I was SO going to say the same thing as Jessica.... Lola would have been my choice to change her name b/c its similar to Bobo. I think its doable to change her name. Ramsey has a zillion names... Ramsey, Ramsey Kate, Kater Bug, Boo Boo, Bug a Boo etc. And Zoey... her name somehow got to Roaster, Toast, Roast, Zoester.... etc.
I can't wait to meet her. You should bring her over for a playdate with Dunker Doo.
We changed our dog's name 3 times since the previous owners had the ultra original name D.O.G., yep deeooogee. Good to hear she's good with the girls. Have fun.

She is super cute! My mom has a pug named FeeBee. I was going to suggest the same thing about the name change. combine it with another name for a while and then drop off the Bobo. And Im sure you will think of other Bobo- nicknames that you will use. :)
Well, congrats on the new fur-baby! I think Bobo is kinda cute, it makes me laugh. I can just hear Reyna and Ruby calling her :)
