Have I mentioned that my children do NOT sleep in vehicles??? I wish they did, but that is just not the case. My plan was to get on the road, eat dinner, watch a movie and pray the girls' would fall asleep so I could get out our portable dvd player and watch a movie. Wishful thinking. The ride was not bad, but even Miss Ruby denied me of any quiet time the entire trip to Ludington. As you can see, the suburban was loaded to the hilt. I was pretty proud of Jade, for he never said one word about the amount of crap essentials I packed.
So far, our trip has been gorgeous! This weekend, Jade & his dad are entertaining a client, so yesterday we loaded up the trailer with kayaks and took them down the river and floated into Lake Michigan. It was pretty windy on the lake yesterday, so the waves were HUGE! I was bummed that I didn't take my camera, but I was afraid it would get wet. Reyna loved kayaking. She wasn't too crazy about the waves that were crashing it, but she occupied herself with building sand castles, chasing sea gulls and making sand angels.

My girls aren't big fans of sleeping in the car either. Hope it's a great trip!
How was the drive??
I know how you feel. M used to sleep like a trooper as soon as the car started moving, but now it is jabber jaw anywhere we go regardless the length of trip.
