I went kayaking....by myself! Uhm, this is a major thing for me, people. My first time on a kayak was last Saturday. Jade & the girls dropped me off last night @ the launch and I paddled myself around Lake Hamlin for about an hour. His mom & dads neighborhood is on the channels of Lake Hamlin, which is a huge lake that connects to Lake Michigan. It is gor-geous! It was super windy and he advised me that I should probably stay in the channels since I don't have much experience. Reyna was so cute....she waved goodbye to me and said, "see you back in Ludington, mama." When I came back that evening, I was greeted with "good job kayaking, mama."While I enjoyed being by myself, listening to the water, I definitely enjoy having Jade with me. When we took Reyna kayaking last Saturday, I just sat back while he rowed us around. He pointed stuff out and kept us entertained. :)
Today, we took the girls' to lunch and discovered Ludington has a scrap store! Cha-ching! Jade dropped me off at the door while he waited in the car with the girls. They had some yummy paper and fun embellies I just could not pass up.

Horray! On our last vacation I also discovered a love of kayaking. It was so peaceful and relaxing!
I love that last picture! What a great scrapbook page idea.... :) Good for you for going alone. NO WAY in hell would you find me in a kayak... let alone out in a lake ALONE! EEEKKKK! Sharks or crocodiles might get me. I swear I have the strangest phobias.
