Wrapping up our trip

We left Ludington on Sunday a lot later than we expected to leave. It definitely had it's ups and downs doing it this way, but I am glad that we did. Jade & his dad decided to join 11 other guys in a game of golf, while Jade's mom & I took Reyna, Ruby & Audrey to the municipal park down by Lake Michigan. Who is Audrey? She is the granddaughter of Jade's parents good friends, Mark & Terry. They have a place in Ludington in the same neighborhood, but live in Grand Rapids the rest of the time. Audrey is the sweetest little 6 year old I know. She adores R&R. Reyna just loves her. This was the first year that Reyna could really play and have a good time with Audrey. In the past, the has been a little young. In fact, Audrey arrived in Ludington on Friday night and after that, we barely saw Reyna. It was so nice for her to have a friend to play with. It's a safe/small enough area where the girls could walk back and forth from each others house, have dinner together and ride bikes around the park. I wish Audrey lived closer.

The girls were exhausted by the time we packed up all of our crap and hit the road at 8:30. Luckily, my children actually slept in the car, which made for a peaceful ride home! It was a miracle. By the time we unloaded the suburban and got ready for bed, it was 1:30. The following morning we were woke up by our door bell ringing @ 8am. Hmmm....Ruby was in her crib cooing and laughing. I figured Reyna was entertaining her. I decided to ignore the doorbell, only it started ringing again. And again. And again. Finally, I stormed out of bed, threw on my robe and I could hear, "Mama, I can't get in. Mama, come look at this frog in our pond."  Jade unlocked our deadbolt on the backdoor so his Aunt could unlcock that door while we were gone. Reyna realized the door was just locked and let herself out to go find frogs. OMG. Talk about a scare. I kept asking her why she was outside, but she was so excited about her dang frog, she wouldn't even answer me. Needless to say, the door has been Reyna locked and this will not be happening again.

We are getting back to norm. I unpacked, put stuff away and finished our mountains of laundry. I started cleaning today and plan on finishing up tomorrow. Jade went back to work today, while I spent the day chasing after the girls' and figuring out how we both can be stay at home parents while getting paid at the same time.

I am definitely glad to be home, but enjoyed our time away. It was the little things that I missed; our bed, my keurig, Kramer, my parents, normal routines etc. I asked Jade what he missed the most. His answer? Our new water softener. What a nerd! :)

Stay tuned this week for a giveaway, lots of updates, pictures and such! :)
