Friday Night Leftovers-The stay at home edition

• So, as of this past Thusday, I am officially a stay at home mama. It was definitely bittersweet, but I know where I need to be. We had a recognition to honor our senior volunteers, so it was a great way to finish up the day. It was at a gorgeous local Art Gallery along with a mime, harpist, jazz band, speakers, wine tasting, chocolate fountain, yummy foods, ice sculptures and pretty art to view.
• A habit that I would like nip in the bud right away? Looking like a hobo on days I am homebound. If the girls & I don't leave the house, I find myself not showering, lounging in sweats and questioning whether or not I brushed my teeth. I think it's great to have a sweatpants day now and then, but I really need to limit myself. It's so easy to get into the habit of doing this, too.
• I would personally like to thank Dora & her gang for getting me thru my day. If I need to clean up the kitchen, fold a load of laundry, or shower (ahem, on days that I do) I can always count on her.
• Guess what? I have found myself not doing as much cleaning, organizing and acting OCD as I was when I was working. Yes, the house is still cleaning, but I am okay letting a few dishes sit.
• Heck to the yes am I more excited than ever to see Jade walking thru that door around dinner time. Children are exhausting!
