We had an absolutely crazy weekend and it all started Wednesday after Jade came home from work. Yesterday, I never got out of my pj's and neither did the girls. We needed a day of relaxation. As crazy as the weekend was, I wouldn't have changed a thing. It's always nice getting together with family & friends, especially for holidays.
I don't know what I was thinking, but I waited to grocery shop Wednesday night. As it turns out, everyone else in town decided to go Wednesday night, as well. We picked up McDonalds for the girls so they could eat and we could shop. I saw the look on Jade's face when we pulled into the parking lot of Meijer and it was clear that he was dreading going in. I was thanking God we had a DVD player because I ended up leaving everyone in the car to watch Hercules while I braved the crowds. It worked out perfect. After leaving Meijer, Jade & I picked up sushi for ourselves. It was a yummy way to end the night.
We were with my family this Thanksgiving and it was not only turkey day, but it was also my dad & sister in laws birthday. Our day was spent lounging around my parents with my parents, Grandma F. & Uncle Dave. My mom always cooks a spectacular Thanksgiving feast. After turkey & birthday celebration, we stopped by Jade's parents so we could give his sister her card. The girls were exhausted by the time we pulled into our driveway.
I am sure you have read my thoughts on Black Friday. I do not shop. In fact, people sound kind of scary and it is just not worth losing sleep over. I enjoy sleeping as late as the girls will let me when possible. BUT, I needed a shirt for my reunion that was taking place that evening. Bobby
Are you still with me? I knew this was going to be a long and rambling post. I wanted to jot it all down for memory sake.
Friday night was my 10 year class reunion. I was nervous, but very excited to meet up with everyone. A friend who lives in this area, invited a few of us over for a drink prior, which was nice. The reunion ended up being a ton of fun. It was great to see old faces & faces that I see on a regular basis. It was so strange seeing everyone at first. We spent so many years together and now we were all in the same room getting to know each other again. There were several girls from our group of friends who were not able to make it to Alison's before the reunion and a couple who were not at the reunion at all.
Sunday? Nobody ever got out of their pjs. :)
