We are heading to Florida!

We are getting hit with yet another depressing snow storm. So as I brewed a yummy cup of Newman's this morning, I kept reminding myself that we are leaving in X amount of days for vacation! Besides mini trips here & there, we are so over due to fly somewhere warm to relax & enjoy.

We are heading to Florida for a week, but during this week, we are taking Reyna on a Disney cruise on the new Disney Dream ship!!!!  I am excited to spend time with my family, but on top of that, I cannot wait to get on the boat. I have never been on a cruise before, so this is a new experience for a three of us. I cannot wait to see Reyna's reactions when she sees the ship, the characters, the childrens programs, the fun restaurants. The best part about it? We get to spend this time with my Aunt Janette. She is such a special person to me and I cannot wait to have some fun in the sun with her. I am anxious for Reyna to have some time with her, too.

We are leaving Ruby with my grandparents. It was about the hardest decision I have ever had to make as a mama. I feel/felt horrible, but she wouldn't have had any fun. She is going to Florida and will still get to go to Disney World with us and while we are on the boat, she will be in the great care. She will have a ball. I have never left either babe more than two nights and the cruise is three nights, but I am sure all will be fine.

We aren't going to jam pack our days with too much while we are on the cruise. We are hoping to just go with the flow and kind of lay back and relax. There are two things planned thus far and that is it. 1.) A couple's massage for Jade & I at the Spa and 2.)A glass bottom boat ride one of the days we are docked.

We are taking the three night cruise that stops in the Bahamas for a day and Disney's own island, Castaway Cay for a day. I know we will be taking advantage of Castaway Cay, but I am not sure about the Bahamas yet. There are so many things on the ship to see and do, we will see. BUT, we are definitely not ruling anything out.

Just a few other details I am oh-so excited about...
*the food. I have heard the ship has Amazing food and the staff is outstanding!
*the childrens program. My Aunt has informed me Reyna isn't going to want to come home. :)
*the relaxation part.As much as I am going to miss Ruby, it's going to be a much needed break for me. Reyna is such a daddy's girl and she is so easy to take care of anymore.
*the weather.I live in Michigan. Need I say more???
*spending time with my fam.
*getting away.period.
*aside from the cruise...Disney World!!! I feel like I am not giving Disney enough credit, but we are excited about this too. Ruby is going to get her haircut @ Magic Kingdom just like Reyna did when she was a year. :) ((They put disney confetti in your locks & package them & seal them with a mickey sticker...it's way too magical. Plus, you get Minnie ears that say First Haircut.))

Our count to vacay is definitely on !!! :)

When we get back to port,

OMG - you guys are going to have so much fun! I cannot wait to see pictures and hear the stories from your trip - the girls are just going to have a blast. And I can't imagine how hard it is going to be to leave Ruby for those 3 nights, but Reyna is going to eat the time up and Ruby is going to have such fun with her grandparents - those memories will be worth it.

(And on The Bahamas . . . we went there for our honeymoon and I had made tons of plans to do things away from the resort not realizing (1) that there was so much to do at the resort that it was silly to leave and (2) that it is a 3rd world country. I am sure there are some great cultural attractions, but there were a lot of sketchy places between the resort and them, so we opted out.)

(And I am sorry for all the double comments . . . I don't know if it is me, Blogger, or the lambic.)
