I was SO nervous about flying with Ruby. Reyna? Not so much. I kept picturing in my head Ruby just crying and flailing the ENTIRE flight and us being THAT family. She is just at that age where she wants to be a free little bird and sitting on our laps for 2 1/2 hours, I was preparing myself for a struggle. Plus, she is our sensitive one. It takes her a little while to get used to unfamiliar surroundings. It is amazing how different the girls are from one another. I knew we would have no issues with Reyna on the flight. Well, a lot of the reason is, her age.
I am SO proud of BOTH Reyna and Ruby. They did awesome on the airplane both there and back from Florida. It was almost effortless for Jade & I. We made it thru airport security w/out a problem, waiting to board and both flights could have have gone smoother. We took our portable DVD player and the girls watched movies, ate snacks and ever took naps. We were very proud of both and very relieved. The funny part? The minute we put Ruby in my grandparents car upon arriving in Florida, she threw a bloody fit. I could barely strap her into her carseat because her back was arched so high! Ha! We were fine with a tantrun after the flight though.
It was late afternoon when we arrived at my grandparents, so we didn't do to much the rest of the day. The girls enjoyed running in and out of the house and Reyna of course, had a dress on not ten minutes after we walked in the door. As I was looking thru our pictures from vacation, I kept noticing that Reyna was wearing the same thing. She is too funny. FYI-the dress was washed several times. :)
Another part I was a little nervous about was Ruby and getting her to sleep @ my grandparents. Once again, she amazed us and we laid her down and she was down for the count! She must have known she needed her beauty rest for Magic Kingdom & Chef Mickey the following day.....stay tuned for LOTS of pictures to come. :)
