Mother's day this year, the weather was awesome! May is so hit or miss sometimes, so I was excited to spend the day @ the zoo with Jade & the girls. His parents invited us over for a cookout that evening, so we decided on a somewhat nearby location. 
Our zoo trip was a lot of fun. Reyna couldn't get enough of the animals. Ruby did well, except she wasn't too keen on riding in her stroller OR holding a hand. Do not let the previous picture fool you. 
Reyna could have fed this llama all day. She said it reminded her of "Llama, Llama Red Pajama." This is way off subject, but Kohl's has LLRP & "Llama, Llama Misses Mama" right now for 5 bucks! Go grab them both. Not only are they cheap and for a good cause, they are awesome books. 
I tried desperately to get a really cute picture with the girls, but ended up with yet another failed attempt. 
Ruby was only digging my icee pop. She is ever only in it for the food, I tell ya!
Reyna...I don't have a clue what this look is she has going on.....Ruby was sticking out her tongue at Jade on purpose. This little one is just too funny. 
And, the last one. After this, I said never mind. The imperfect shots are way better anyway. :)Before we headed over to Jade's parents, I had some shoes to exchange @ Macy's. Jade was kind enough to drop me off at the door and head to Target with the girls to get the stuff that I despise going to Target for..diapers and essentials...that ALONE was a Mother's Day treat!
So....I have to ask, can Mother's day come maybe once a month? Quarterly?

I agree, Mother's should get more special days per year, once a month isn't too much to ask for ;) (and this is coming from a non-mama)

I suspect the only way we will get more than one Mother's Day a year is if a Mom takes the office of president some day! I am so glad you had such a lovely day with your family!
And Ruby and B.riar. Seriously twins separated at birth. I cannot get over the number of posts and FB updates I read from you that I totally could have written! We had portraits taken at JC Penny today and she was a total sass-pot! Sticking her tongue out, turning around backwards, and running out of the room as soon as the woman got her posed and stepped back to take the picture!
