So, not only do we love watching the birds, but we have started watching different butterflies, as well. I planted marigolds in my pots along the driveway and they have attracted many butterflies this year. I found this particular one today and had a chance to take a few pictures. I love that they stay in one place so I can get a decent picture of them, as well. My children choose not to stay in one place, so taking pictures of butterflies to learn my camera, it is!!! haha. I looked this one up and it is called a Variegated Fritillary. My book says that they are pretty uncommon to see!

Great pics, so so close up, you can tell comparing the marigold with them. They seem to blend right into the flower. You should plant a butterfly garden. Reyna would like that. Lov the pics below of her with the strawberries They really look big for Mich. berries.
