Friday Night Leftovers

  • Everyday, Reyna is some kind of new animal. The past few days she has been a chicken. Today? She is a whining dog, maybe? I haven't really guessed what it is. This behavior has rubbed off on Roobs. Her choice animal is a frog. She make a pretty cute one.
  • Okay, now she is moo'ing.
  • So, I am pretty excited for tomorrow. We are heading to the D (Detroit) for a Tiger's game. Not only do we have great seats, but we have passes into the Lion's Den. Afterwards, we will definitely be Greektown bound for some yummy food!!!! Jade & I are definitely looking forward to hanging out with Brad and Stacey tomorrow night. Even though we had a weekend away last weekend, I cannot turn down a date night with the Mr. and some of our very dear friends.
  • So, last weekend I bought this gorgeous color and now? I love Essie. OPI has always been my choice polish, but I think I may have found a new one. I love the colors that Essie has. Plus, I painted my nails and it has stayed "pretty" for several days now. It is just now starting to chip and this is after weeding the garden, doing dishes, washing my hands etc....
  • I am getting ready to read, "Water for Elephants." Have you read it? If so, what did you think?
  • Grocery shopping?? I am going by myself this weekend. When I told this to Jade, he said, "how about we all go as a family?" Uhm, nope. Miss Ruby is so difficult to take and I need to stock up. It is going to be one of those trips where I just need to go alone.
  • How is it that Reyna will be starting school in another month?
  • It is not even 10 pm on a Friday night and I can barely keep my eyes open. I am so old.

I have Water for Elephants waiting to be started too! Charlotte is a cow everyday. LOTS of mooing. Enjoy the game!

I love the "as a family" requests when I'm just trying to get away from them! LOL

I read Water for Elephants and couldn't figure out what all the fuss was about. I'm probably in the minority, but that seems to be typical.

I'm older than you...always will be! I still can't shake this Night Owl thing!

okay I personally LOVED Water for elephants- but... I am also really into RPattz ;) haha- I bought the book with him on the cover so I think that had something to do with it ;) But I did think it was very interesting. Ryan liked it a lot too.

Maeve can't start preschool down here until she's 4- so we get to put that off for another year. Thank goodness, because I'm not ready to let go yet!

And btw- Maeve is a different animal every day too- but she takes it to extremes- like having to eat off the floor, or licking me... sometimes even peeing like an animal.

I am giggling at the visual of the girls being animals - especially since B.riar spends everyday as either a dog or a kitten . . . taking it so far as to refuse to do anything unless I address her as "Kitten" or "Puppy" (which is even funnier, because no way in heck would our kitten agree to come lay down and have her diaper changed simply because I asked!)

And my husband is constantly wanting to do errands and such 'as a family'. On one hand, it often is the only 'family of 5' quality time that we get, but honestly? I would KILL to go to the grocery store alone. I have started having him take the kids and go out to the car to get buckled in carseats while I am paying, so at least I have those 5 minutes to myself!

My girls are consistently cats. They meow and whine constantly. It makes me crazy. Maybe I should encourage a new animal of the day tomorrow.

Hope the Tiger game was good. I have had Like Water floating around here for about 6 months, I just haven't committed to reading it yet.
