Friday Night Leftovers-"No you are not drinking coffee @ five years old" edition.

  • The girls & I went to a friends house today for a playdate. Her family owns a huge dairy farm in the area. The girls? Yep, they were in heaven. All day, Reyna has asked, "when are we going back to Mamanda's(Amandas) house??"
  • I finished, "Water for Elephants". LOVED. If you are looking for a good read, I recommend it. Next week, I am going to watch the movie with my grandma.
  • I just found out that Gymboree has a new fall line coming out Monday with Pug's! I cannot pass this up. Bobo will be excited about it, too!!! hehe. :)
  • There was a frog in my house yesterday. Loose. Guess who was behind this crazy chaos? Uhm hmmm.
  • Do your kids have chores that they do on a regular basis? Just curious....
  • Jade brought me flowers yesterday & cooked dinner. He is a saint.
  • I am still trying to figure out how to get out of bed early to get Reyna to school on time. I swear, I blame my laziness on the Pug. She is sooo lazy. I wanted to get up early this morning and the only thing that woke me was the smell of sausage cooking. It was like the sight out of a movie. I followed the smells of sausage and coffee to the kitchen.
  • I want a new wardrobe. Is that too much to ask???
  • "Mama, when I turn five, do I get to drink coffee like you??" -Reyna

I want to read that book. I looked at it today and Target and thought about buying it. Now I will.
There was a frog in your house?? That is so strange and funny.
Jade is a sweetie!!

Love that Reyna asked if she could drink coffee. Kids crack me up.

Pugs on clothes - SO CUTE! Gymberee always has the cutest stuff!

I think we are getting ready to institute chores around here, as the kids have expressed an interest in earning money (though none of them have much of a concept of what money is or does.) Things like cleaning up their rooms, picking up toys, helping make their beds . . . all of that stuff is expected, but helping Daddy pick-up crab apples before mowing the lawn or helping me sort laundry are things that I am willing to reward them for.
