Christmas Eve

((Not that I am some super cool photographer, but every dang time we are at Jade's parents, I get horrible lighting in my pictures....so bear with me k))?

The girls were so hyped up on Christmas Eve. They couldn't wait to head over to Jade's parents and begin our Christmas festivites. Ruby was a  little stinker and didn't take a nap for us. Of course, right? I was pretty sure that Ruby the girls wouldn't be able to keep their little hands off the gifts thru dinner, but they surprised us.

After a delicious ham dinner, the girls unwrapped their gifts. Well, I take that back, Ruby opened one gift and Reyna opened the rest. Ruby was content with her light up sucker that looked lik a rudolph nose courtsey of Aunt Linsie. As always the girls, were blessed with lots of new toys. Reyna received a digital camera, a couple outfits, a new movie, A VTech keyboard and a few other things. Ruby was pretty excited about Alphie, new clothes and her band in a box. The girls also received an ice cream maker that was for both of them.

The past few years, Jade's parents have bought us one big gift and they do that with his sister and her hubs, as well. The gift is also from his aunt and her boyfriend, too. This year I received a Kitchen Aid mixer!!! I am SO, SO excited to start using this baby. I have always loved to cook, but this year I have really started to make a wide variety of foods thanks to Annies Eats and The Pioneer Woman. I can also attribute it to my good friend, Jess. She is the one who started making yummy recipes from Annie's.

It's hard to tell in this picture, but the girls were SO happy when they opened little Chinese take out boxes filled with gummy bears from Aunt Linsie & Uncle Nathan. Way to go on the gift you guys!

We ventured home with two exhausted  little ladies around 9. Reyna made some Reindeer treats @ school (birdseed, glitter, oatmeal) that she sprinkled on the driveway when we came home. She knew Santa would know where to land his sleigh if it was all over our driveway. :) The girls went to bed a lot easier than I thought. After they were tucked in tight with their new Christmas Eve jammies, Jade & I got to work playing Santa and putting together my dough balls that we eat every year on Christmas morning.
