Exhausted, sick kids, food and everything in between

I woke up @ 3:30 this morning to the sound of Ruby going down the hallway with the Little Tykes shopping cart. I mean, it was kind of cute. She had her baby in the front with playfood in the grocery part, BUT that is not my point. Girlfriend was wide awake until 5 when she finally fell back to sleep until 8. I know it was due to her having a late nap yesterday, which I vow never to do again. She definitely needed a little afternoon siesta, but I definitely didn't need a 3:30 am wakeup call.

The girls have been sick, so sleep hasn't been the greatest around here the past week. Reyna was the first to get and had it the worst. I had her at the doctor on Friday. It was just a virus, so it had to run it's course. The girls generally do not run fevers, so when their fevers were up to 103, it was a little scary. Thank goodness all is well now. They were going slightly stir crazy, being in the house and so was I. Who knew going to Meijer and Wendy's with my mom yesterday could been such a fun outing!!!!

So what have we been doing to keep out sanity??? Drinking! JUST KIDDING. hahah. I have found a few websites that have preschool lessons on them. I have been printing off activities for Reyna to keep busy during Ruby's naps. She loves doing stuff like this. I have found a few crafty ideas from Pinterest and plan on searching for some more tonight. The girls and I made homemade play doh last night and while they played, I made homemade bread. Plus, playing with shaving cream paint in the bathtub, has become a new fave activity for the girls. Today, we enjoyed the 40 degree (ha) weather and took a long walk. Reyna walked Bobo, while Ruby kicked back in the Little Tykes car with a snack. It felt so good to get out of the house.

Believe it or not, I have had our Christmas 2011, Reyna's birthday parties and our Cruise (no laughing) from a bazillion years ago saved as drafts on blogger. They are not completed yet. So, one of these days, when I get a chance to sit down and complete them, I will share them. Will that day ever come around?????

I cannot imagine how hilarious and at the same time frustrating it must have been to wake up that early to that sight! LOL!

I hope your household gets to feeling better soon chica!

Glad the girls are feeling better. Always love hearing all of the cute little things that they are up to. It is not easy being a mom but so rewarding. You are lucky to be home with them at this formatable age. They will benifit from your love, time, & learning @ this age.LOVE & XXX Granna
