3 Things Thursday

1.) A couple people have said, "I have missed reading your blog" or "you haven't been posting a whole lot of stuff lately." The truth is, there isn't a real I haven't been blogging. I just haven't wanted to sit down and do it, you know? We have been so busy. Reyna started soccer, Jade's golf league started, I have been doing a cake decorating class and working a day a week. It has made for really busy weeks. Plus, the weather has been halfway decent, so we have been mulcing, weeding, mowing and cleaning up the yard. On top of it all, I feel like I have been watching a ton of tv. I do not watch tv during the day when I am home with the girls, so at night, I plop on the couch like a slouch and turn into a tv junkie. Thank goodness all the shows are almost over. Maybe I will have some free time.

2.) Reyna's Kindergarten round up went well yesterday. Believe it or not, I am really excited for her to go to school next year. I say this now, but ask me if I was a boo-hoo'ing mess the first day of school. You know what made me sad? A newsletter came home from Preschool and it gave the dates of her graduation and Preschool picnic. That made me a little sad. Anyway, she was very quiet at round up until she got thru the first station and she realized they weren't going to bite her. One other thing, we are not sending her to school (or Ruby when the time comes) in the district we live in. We felt that school of choice was the best option for us. It was a really hard decision because we can see the school out our front door, but it was the best decision.

3.) Cake class! I love it. Tonight is our last class. I am definitely going to take the next level. It has been so much learning different techniques. Plus, it is a nice break getting out of the house and just being "Leslie" and not "mama."  Speaking of class. I need to get my stuff together. It is definitely not a class you go to empty handed. Every week, we have had to prepare either cookies, cupcakes or a cake + frosting. AND, we are hauling in tools and all sorts of other goodies. In the 4 weeks I have been in the class, I have definitely purchased quite a bit of "cake supplies" too. :)))
