A few years ago, Jade put new cable on our clothesline. The posts were in the ground, it just needed new cable and he wanted to start hanging his hunting clothes outside......because he wanted them to be "scentless." :) I love how handy he is. He made this cable so tight and no matter how much weight you hang on it, it does not sag at all. It is the most durable clotheline I have ever seen......because I have seen sooo many....hahah! :) I just had to brag about the hubs a little. :) I love he is so handy.
Lately, I have been using our clothes line. I have never given it much thought until this year. My thoughts were always, "why would I haul stuff outside when I have a dryer sitting right next to my washer that works just fine??" Obviously this would not be my thought if I did not have a working dryer. I do not haul our clothes out there, but when I wash a blanket or our sheets, I love taking them out in a basket still wet and smelling like Downy and hanging them up to flap in the wind. They dry suuuper fast and they never turn out wrinkly.
For some reason, seeing our sheets drying outside makes me happy. I know it sounds weird, but it reminds me of simple life. These days, simple makes me so happy.

Sometimes we all need the reminder to slow down and enjoy the simple things. This post made my heart smile. :)
I completely understand. I have been wanting a clothes line for the very reasons you just mentioned!!!
And they smell sooo good. I used to hang clothes out @ my grandma's house that lived in Phoenix. You could start @ one end & by the time you filled up the line , you could start taking the first clothes down. 110' degrees weather & low humidity did the trick.
