Top 10 Tuesday

1.) Fact: Last week, we were meeting a couple other mamas at Ella Sharp Park for a playdate. I left early so the girls & I could have lunch at McDonald's. While traveling down a 55mph road, Ruby had her window down and her shoe in her hand. Do you see where this is going???? I was talking with Jade and from the back seat, she starts wailing. Yep, the shoe went out the window. Gone. It couldn't have been a $5.00 flip flop though, oh no. It was one of her Mary Jane Crocs...Oh, Roobs.....Fast forward to Saturday night. We were heading to dinner and Jade found it. Roobs calls him, "her hero." hahah!!! He is kinda my hero too.....

2.) I like to think I am somewhat proficient in the kitchen, but the other night, I set a pot holder on fire.

3.) My cousin wrote on facebook the following: "It's sad when someone you know, becomes someone you knew."       This quote just spoke to me.

4.) School.starts.next.week.   I still cannot believe this. Reyna is sooo excited. I don't know if it is because we have been reading books about kindy, shopping up a storm for school supplies and clothes and talking about it non-stop. Hopefully in the future we will not have to purchase as many clothes as we did, but it seems like she had a major growth spurt. I am excited for her to start, but just a teensy bit sad. I do NOT let her see this though. I just show her how excited I am. :)

5.) Speaking of school, we found out her teacher, which is the one I requested and we get to meet her tonight at ABC night. She gets to see her class and all that good stuff. My mom is coming over to hang with Roobs, so it will be a special time for Reyna.

6.) Our garage floor is done! We had a concrete truck here bright and early Saturday morning to pour brand new concrete. It looks so nice. The girls looooved having the concrete truck here and watched the entire process. It was funny they even put their rubber boots on just in case they were able to get into the concrete to "help." hahah.

7.) Reyna is with Jade's mom. She picked her up yesterday afternoon to take her shopping for a thing or two for school. I guess she picked out silver flats, a light weight jacket & a pair of clearance sandals. Ruby wanted to go until I told her we were going to the Library & for a walk. Then she wanted to stay with me. She is going to have a Grandma day next week when Reyna goes to school.

8.) The U.S Open is on this week. If you would have asked me a couple years ago if I would have enjoyed watching tennis on TV, I would have laughed. Now? I love it. In fact, I would like to visit NYC one day. And when we do, I would like to go during this time so we can go to the U.S Open and also take in the city. Jade is all for it, too. Go Djokovic!!!!!

9.) This is the first Labor Day weekend that Jade & I will be staying home and I am soooo glad. Since Jade's parents have had their house in Ludington, we have either been there OR since we have had our camper, we have been gone. I just wanted to stay home. We are going to head to Detroit and go to the zoo, grill & chill. We have been gone so much this Summer, it is time to stay home and enjoy the last hoorah at home.

10.) I cannot tell you how excited I am for our shows to start back up. :)
