Monday: Crockpot Ham and scalloped cheesy potatoes. I found this recipe off of All Recipes. It was easy and my house smells Ahhmazing. I think I think throw a salad together too.

Tuesday: Leftovers

Wednesday: Crockpot cabbage rollups

Thursday: Homemade pizza

Friday: Grill (up to Jade) baked potatoes and fresh brocoli

I am in the process of getting my resume updated. Going back to work, is definitely in the cards and is something that sounds exciting to me now that the girls are getting older. Don't get me wrong, I do love being home, but it's time. Roobs needs to interact with other children more than just playdates. In fact, she needs school/daycare more than I need to dress up a few days a week. True story.

 

One day I was doing crafts with the girls and I asked them how they felt about me getting a job just like daddy. I think they stopped dead in their tracks and looked at me with the most serious faces I have ever seen.

 

 

Reyna:"Mama, what is going to happen to Ruby??? Is daddy quitting his job??"

 

Me: "Well, no. I think she might go to daycare."

 

 

Cue the horrified looks and tears from both girls........

 

 

Both girls in unison: "WHAT IS DAYCARE???"

 

Oh, my.....

Little Bobby

The girls: "Mama, we want a baby brother...one that is not very stinky. Yeah, and we would like to call him little Bobby."

When Jade got "fixed," I knew there would come a day I would have a slight pain in my uterus for another baby. Not that I WANT another baby, it's just the fact that my babies are growing way too fast. Jade told me this the day I signed my name on that dotted line for consent for his vasectomy. He said to me that we would not be adopting or getting a sperm donor....hehehe.

Most days I am glad that the girls are getting older. I love that I leave the house with nothing but a purse and not a diaper bag or that Jade and I were able to go to Florida last week by ourselves.

It's definitely bittersweet.

Holy update!

Just got home from San Destin....Yes, Jade had to tear me away kicking and screaming. It was the most gorgeous place! Of course, we missed the girls.....I am so behind on updates...I still have not posted pictures from Christmas! Haha. :)

Good friends.

   Yesterday, a really good friend of mine called. We have known each other forever. When she called, I was literally pacing my house, trying to just find some kind of peace of mind. There are just a few things going on right now in life and well, they are hard to face. When she called, I just lost it. I cried. I am so glad she called. I needed to just let it all out. I am sure she had no clue what she was getting herself into when she dialed my number. hahaha.

More Gymnastics.

Reyna's gymnastics class had the opportunity to show off their moves at one of the local games last Friday night. It just so happened to be at her school school district, so she saw a ton of friends and she was so excited to see where she will go to school once she is older. I cannot believe this little girl will be 6 in JUST TWO MORE DAYS!!! A year ago she would NEVER have gone out there and did this. This year? She had no problem. She loves gymnastics and is learning so much.

"Mom, Luke doesn't like any of the girls, but he does like me and Bayli."

"I just wanted to let you know that Sophie doesn't wear her underwear to gymnastics so starting next week, I won't be wearing mine."

"So the new girl, yeah her show and tell is the SAME DAY AS MINE!! She brought a fart machine in. (Can you imagine my face as she said this???) So, next Christmas, I am going to ask for one, too. It was sooooo cool."

"I want to go ice skating. Did you know that Uncle Bob is so handsome? Did you remember that the first time I met Kaitlin was when we went ice skating with her??"
