Please check this contraption out. I was cracking up when I came across this? What happened to just your everyday potty chair? I cannot imagine having a kiddie urinal sitting in my bathroom.
Why was I looking for potty chairs you ask?
Well, Reyna has been telling us when she poops. The other day, I was in my room getting dressed. She came into my room, looked at me and said, "poop, poop." Sure enough, she needed to be changed.
We are not planning on forcing her to start potty training, but we thought, "hey what the heck." Might as well, right?!
So, I am shopping for a potty chair.
Any suggestions? Do you use an actual potty seat for you kiddos or just the little seat that sits on the toilet? I don't know what to buy.

OMG, please! LOL My friends would die if they saw that at my house!
Recommendation - do not go the potty chair route! Seriously, who wants to clean out that bad boy - it would be worse than diapers!
On my friends recommendation, we got Dr Merry's Potty Pal - you take off your toilet seat and it's a regular seat with a little seat that flips down, it seriously ROCKS. Here is a link:

(If the link doesn't work, just go to tjskids.com and search for it, it's the store here we bought it from)
The ones you put on the toilet that aren't on there all the time are a pain - they wiggle and it's way easier just to flip the one seat up. We got the Dr Merry one for the downstairs toilet that he uses all the time then just have one of those cheapie ones you stick on upstairs and he's not a fan.
Definately go with it though, a potty trained kid is SO nice, who knew!! Of course now I'm back to diapers but Morgan was totally trained at 28 months which has been so awesome. We just let him guide how it went and it was so easy.
hilarious! I wish they would've had something like that when we were training Austin! With all of my kids, I've sat the potty chair in the bathroom for quite a while before they even used it so they could get used to it sitting there. And Audrey got a pink jelly belly every time she left a deposit.
That baby urinal is too cute! We got Jalyn the Baby Bjorn Potty Chair and it is WONDERFUL! Perfect size, sooooooooo easy to clean and very simple. She loves it. And just like Maria, starting out we would give her an m&m every time she went or even tried. Now she's a pro. She's even comfortable enough to go on the regular toilet, which is nice in case we go out. But with her potty chair right in the bathroom, she would sit on hers when I went so she easily got the idea. Before we bought the potty chair, I did get one of those baby seats that you set right on the adult toilet and it sucks. It's awkward, and just putting on the toilet made me feel like I had to clean it really good every time I took it off. It's so much easier with the Baby Bjorn potty chair. Just dump, and rinse and it's ready to go again. :)
Whatever you do, Good luck! I think the earlier you introduce the whole going potty thing, the easier and quicker they will learn.
That is hilarious!:)
hahaha! i love that, you need to have a little boy!! :)
I would kinda think having a potty that sits on the floor by the toliet would be easiest...when she see's you go potty she might want to try too. And then it will be super easy to take with you when you travel and whatnot... Just a thought!
