The silence is golden.

Somewhere between Reyna not feeling well on Monday, working Wednesday instead of having it off and the stresses of daily life, it's Friday. I am not sure where our week went, but I am glad that it is over. Jade left a little while ago with Ryan, Reyna is asleep, so the only thing I am listening to is the faint sound of the rain. It's very peaceful. I wasn't going to post due to lack of ambition, but I decided since I have been MIA, I better sit down and write a few things down for the heck of it.

Let's see.....

Monday, I was invited to a Stampin' Up craft evening @ Biggby coffee. Not only was I able to get out of the house by myself, but I also enjoyed it even more with a delicious caramel apple cider. Ahhh...it was heaven! I made three projects, bought a few goodies and topped off my night with a trip to Target. Who cares if it was only to pick up a bag of dog food, it was still a trip to Target. Who invited me? Glad you asked. Her name is Marian. I have had a few people ask how we met and it's actually a funny story. I was in Jo-Ann's scrapbook shopping (go figure) and so was she. We kept "bumping" into one another. We even checked out at the same time. So on our way out of the store, she approached me. We exchanged numbers, have met for coffee a few times and have become friends. She is a wonderful lady. Kind of crazy how things happen, huh?

Tuesday-Thursday were a blur.

Today, I only had to work a few hours since I worked on Wednesday. I picked Reyna up, took her home so she could nap at home. I have been having terrible sinus/allergy issues and my head was starting to hurt. I decided to lay down when she did. If you know me, I am NOT a nap taker. I do not care for naps. I would rather go to bed early. So, I laid down and guess who decided to wake up an hour later? Not me. Needless to say, I didn't sleep much. Instead, I brewed some coffee and my headache finally went away.

I was supposed to go to Nicoles this evening for the weekend, but Porter hasn't been feeling the greatest. I decided that we would skip out on tonight and head over there tomorrow since he has been feeling better.

Well, that brings you up to speed around our household. Oh, I forgot to mention...my back room is under construction. It's a mess and I am about to have a coronary. Jade has been working any spare minute he can on it, but it's just taking time. He put all new lights in there and it's almost ready to be insulated and dry walled. Dang, not only is my hubby good at construction/home improvements, he can also pass as an electrician. Where does one learn to do electrical work w/out taking classes? I would say he is quite talented.
