mia

Yeah, that's me lately. MIA. Honestly, I haven't had much to post about.

I do have a bit of info to share that I find rather exciting. I was hired for part-time holiday help at my favorite toy store. I wanted to pick up a few extra hours, but I wasn't sure where. I just happened to be in there one day and decided to apply. It works out really well because it's evenings and weekends minus Wednesdays and it's about 1/2 mile from my "real" job. Their hours aren't crazy like most retailers. I started yesterday and had an absolute blast. Did I mention I oohhed and aaahhed over several fun things for Santa to bring Reyna? Let's just say it's going to be hard to contain myself. Jade is going to meet me there after work on Friday so we can decide what to buy her.

I worked all day yesterday and I thought I would be tired, but it wasn't too bad. Jade picked up Reyna, made dinner so all I had to do was come home after work. I must admit, it felt nice. I actually got to listen to something I wanted to in the car. We cannot get into the car w/out Reyna asking for Looorrie. (Laurie Berkener) If you are looking for children's music, I would strongly suggest her. She's wonderful.

A few funny things Reyna has been saying. A couple of days ago, I hit (shhhh, don't tell) my neighbor's garbage can. Let me start by saying, they don't move it once it's empty and they put it in front of our house on the opposite side of the road instead of in front of their house. It really annoys me, but anyways back to what I was getting at. So, my backup beepers were beeping, but I thought I had more room. When I hit it, I heard Reyna in the back seat, "uh-oh." She must have felt me hitting the can. Yesterday, Reyna was playing and I was trying to get her dressed. I kept saying, "Reyna, let's go into your room so we can get you dressed." No response. Finally, I asked her if she was listening to me. Her answer? "No." Everything has been no lately.

Only a couple more days until Kristin's bachelorette party!!!! I won't post details since the bride-to-be wasn't involved in planning. I will have a lot of pictures and I am sure good stories to share after the fact.

Other than that, nothing is new. Just checking in.

I'd love to hear about some of the cool toys you've come across. I've picked up a few things for Thomas but I'm kind of at a loss as to what's good for him right now. Glad you're happy with your new job :) I worked at the Gap during the holidays one year for extra hours and it was CRAZY!!
