Christmas, randomness and a few bullets

I started Christmas shopping last night! It felt wonderful to accomplish a few things and actually see things getting checked off of my to do list. Jade took Reyna to Dick's Sporting Goods with my dad, so I had the entire evening to myself. It was relaxing and productive. I still have a few people to buy for, but I am definitely putting a dent on our list.

This afternoon, I took Reyna for the second part of her flu shot and once again, she was a champ. A few tears rolled down her cheek, but that quickly ended when she saw the stickers. That's my little drama queen. Updates on Reyna?

  • She is already growing out of her shoes and clothes I bought her this fall! It doesn't look like she's getting bigger, but she must be. We will have to get her new shoes and clothes before winter is up.
  • She is talking up a storm! Today, I asked her what she wanted for lunch. Her response? "yum, yums." What the heck is that? I couldn't tell you where that came from. It was so cute though. I bought her a little vaccum the other night @ work and everyday she goes around "cleaning" saying, "vaccuming, vaccuming." OCD..just like her mommy.
  • Everything is, "Reyna do it." If she can't then it's, "Daddy (or mama) do it."
  • I always ask her if she wants to be carried or walk. It's always, "I walk."
  • She gives kisses on our cheeks and just makes our hearts turn to moosh. She just places her lips on your cheek, but makes the lip smacking sound.

I would say she has been handling mama being gone a lot more pretty well. I am probably doing worse than her. She looks forward to Jade picking her up and loves to ride in, "daddy's car."

It's been hard not to over-induldge her for Christmas considering I am working @ a toy store. A few things we have purchased are a new pair of shoes, an Aquadoodle , a few books, a set of jumbo netics and a water table from Santa. I also found a few stocking stuffers and some pj's from Gap from Santa's Elves for Christmas Eve. At Nana & Papa's, Reyna will be opening this up from them Christmas afternoon. From Uncle Bobby and Aunt Em, they have found this for her and this from Grandma & Grandpa Christmas Eve. Needless to say, she is one loved little lady.

This weekend we are heading to the mall to visit Santa. I could take a wild stab that Reyna isn't going to be a fan, but she could prove me wrong. I am also going to try and bake a little and just relax. I have Sunday off, so we will be doing those things then. Saturday, I am working all day. Surprise. Surprise. :)

That's about all the Collin's updates for now. I am just about done with work, heading over to pick up Reyna and then off to work tonight. I like picking her up so I can see her for a little while since she will be snoozin' when I come home tonight.
