I'm exhausted. I don't think that there is any other way to put it. It's 7:45 and I can barely keep my eyes open. There's so much I want to do, but just can't find the energy to accomplish my list. It makes me mad.
My mom, Reyna & I went to Battle Creek today to the mall. I had to exchange two sweaters Reyna received for her birthday from my aunt. One was on the verge of being too small and the other one was too small. I was hoping to find them in a bigger size for next year, but no such luck. I ended up finding her two shirts, a sweater to match, a cotton skirt and a pair of cotton yoga pants that match both shirts and cardigan. I tell you, Reyna has a better wardrobe than me. We also went to Barnes & Noble where my mom found several new books to keep at her house and we had lunch @ Applebee's. Reyna fell asleep on the way home (which NEVER happens, remember??) about 10 minutes before we pulled into our driveway. Well, it ruined her nap and she never went back to sleep. At 6:00, I was done parenting for the day. I think the last straw was Reyna throwing magnetic letters everywhere and drawing on our black dog with purple chalk. Yes, it was quite the evening here in the Collins' household.
The kitchen still isn't clean from dinner. I just cannot find enough energy to even clean that up. I would have Jade, but he isn't home yet. He went ice fishing after work.
It seems like this week is sort of dragging on. I wish tomorrow was Friday. Maybe it's because I am so anxious to go to Chicago next weekend. Yeah, that's probably why. I just need a break. Can you tell? I am looking forward to sleeping in, adult convo w/out interruptions, dining out w/out french fries being involved, a little shopping and just some alone time.
Hmm..I think that's all for now. I haven't decided whether or not to just say forget the kitchen and go to bed. What do you think?
