Can't think, too early.

You know that you haven't blogged in a while when, Blogger asks for your user name and password. Hmm. I have come to the conclusion that I have been too busy reading others blogs and facebooking to have time to write on my blog.

We have been busy, but I am not exactly sure with what. Last weekend, we went to Nicole's for a playdate that turned out really well. I thought it might have rained on us, but it held off. Reyna had a good time pushing dirt around (and test tasting) in the sandbox. I am embarrased to admit, but I think that was her first time in a sandbox. I know, weird right? We don't have one and I can't think of anyone else who does where she might have played. I would like to get her one, but Jade is like, "the cat's just going to poop in it." I don't think that he knows they come with lids now. :)

So, I decided to get up early this morning because I like having free time to myself in the morning. Reyna has been getting up at the crack of freaking dawn! I hate to sound like a mean mom, but it's getting annoying. She's tired by late morning and is ready for a nap. So, I drug myself out of bed at 5:20 this morning, made Jade a lunch and started blogging. Guess who decided to grace with me her presence @ 6 am. By 6:15, she was laying on the kitchen floor crying and throwing a fit. I just put her back to bed. I told her it wasn't an option, she was going back to bed and when she was ready to wake up happy, she could come out of her room. Oh wait, it's only 10 after 6. It wasn't even 5 minutes later and she was throwing a fit. What time do I need to get up to get some ME time? 5:20 isn't early enough?! Okay, so that's my complaint for the day.

I have decided to sign Reyna up for a parent/tot swim class. Jade or I will be in the water with her and it's more of an opportunity for her to get used to the water as opposed to learning to swim. It's twice a week for the next four weeks. I figured we should do it now before- a) I am too big to even want to get into a suit and b)do them now, because once we have the next baby, swim lessons will be out of the question for a little while.

Lastly, I need to replenish my shoe collection. Sandals, that is. I was just browsing Nine West.com and saw these cute ones that would be super comfy and can wear to work. These are also cute, don't you think? And this pair of flats would be great for work. It's kind of funny how my style has changed so much since being pregnant and chasing a toddler. I see adorable "tall" shoes and don't even give them consideration. Don't get me wrong, I love tall shoes, but right now my back hurts and chasing Reyna at the park is easier in flips and flats. So tell me mama's, are you more of a heels and stillettos or a flats and flips gal? ((For non mama's too, I would love your answers, too. :))

It's nice to hear I'm not the only one who hasn't done swimming yet! We are actually doing it this summer with all 3!

My kids love the sandbox. It is always a hit! It occupies them for a while, you should totally get one.

5:20, good god woman! Did Reyna go back to sleep?

I love heels but they are so not functional. I opt for a cute flat and my flip flops nowadays! If I'm going out then I totally go for the heels cause I'm short! He he.

i looooove heels, but yeah, they aren't so much of an option at this time. :) i did buy some wedges for the summer though in hopes that those would still be comfy enough for me to wear to work since i don't walk much. i'm sure before too long though, those will be back in the closet as well.

5:20 huh? that is so early! but I can understand how you want some "me time." Im with michelle, did reyna ever go back to sleep?

I really like heels, and I have come to love pointy ones. But lately I have been into flats. I just bought a pair and I really like them. I also have a pair of diesel shoes and I like those as well.

I do like heels becuase Im so short, if a. gives me a little height and b. makes my legs look just a little big longer! haha!

Im not a mama, but during the hours that I nanny, I wear flips or flats these days... :)

You are not alone on the sandbox, as my kids have never been in one either! Would you believe last summer was the first time they ever had popsicles?! It just never dawned on me to buy them because neither hubby nor I eat them!

I had Cooper in a Parent/Tot swim class when I was pregnant with Quinn - being in the water was so nice . . . even though it meant putting on a pup tent to do so!

And I so understand the need for me time! My kids are early risers as well . . . and no matter how early I get up, they seem to follow not more than 15 minutes later!

And definitely flips and flats! At 5'10", heels would make me tower over hubby!
