Jade & I have planted three different trees in our yard, each time we have lost someone close to us. The one we planted for his grandmother is a summer bush/mini tree, so it has not started to look "pretty" yet. But, each spring our flowering pear and our newport plum flower and they are a reminder to me of my Great grandfather and my grandpa. I like the fact that these trees have more meaning to me than just a tree we planted. I miss both of them tremendously and each spring when both of these trees flower, I cannot believe how fast passes by.

I LOVE that. When Cathy passed away we had wanted to plant a tree in our backyard but our septic system was right where we wanted to plant it. I think we may have to rethink the tree planting and find less water loving trees (we had bought a maple) and find a spot in our yard away from the septic area to plant it. Thanks for this post!! :)
Totally inspiring, I'm doing this soon!
What a wonderful idea, and what beautiful trees!
Those are very nice.
