Ludington

We had a wonderful time last weekend in Ludington. I think the pictures will and can tell the story better than my words. We had a chance to wander around the state park where the dam and hiking trails are. Miss Reyna could have stayed at the beach all.weekend.long. If we would have let her. On Friday when we went to the beach, we left Ruby with Jade's parents because we knew she wouldn't have lasted long at the beach. It was afternoon naptime, so we took Reyna and spent some time focusing on just her. :) The water was freezing, did I mention that? I love how toddlers never seem to mind though. Reyna put some sticks together and told me she built a tree house. :) She was pretty dang proud. Miss Ruby can't stand being hot and having the sun in her eyes, but she dislikes hats even more. We walked the pier all the way to the lighthouse. Last year, I was just a few weeks away from delivering Ruby and I didn't make it even half way before I was huffin' and puffin.' The second day at the beach, Ruby joined us. She lasted a whole ten minutes before she decided sitting under the umbrella with daddy and a bottle was much more fun. Of course, she had to have her blankey and thumb while she tested out the sand. Ruby had a little more energy after that bottle and decided to army crawl out into the sand. She really liked it, minus the sun. After we had dinner Sunday night, we headed down to the lake where the badger comes in so the girls could see. When the horn blew, Reyna jumped so high. The family pic, is post Reyna hearing the badger's horn. She was clinging on me for dear life. It's funny, because not too much scares Reyna, but that did. Like her mama, Ruby is always a happy girl when we get to go out for breakfast. :)
That's all for now.
