Lots of projects going on around here.
It has been garden week here at Casa de Collins. My perennial garden was starting to look like an amazon rather than a pretty garden. I spent three hours making my garden pretty again. I found new homes for a few of my bigger hostas that were just taking over. The only thing I have left to do is clean out the pond. My goal is to clean it this weekend and buy new fish next week. Unfortuately, I cut the power cord to my pond pump while I was hacking away at the ornamental grass and cut it in three pieces! I know, its nuts. Good thing Jade is handy and owns lots of great tools to fix stuff. Once again, hubs to the rescue. What would I do w/out him.
Next week is curtain making week. I am super excited to make these babies with the help of Miss Emilie. I am excited and I cannot wait to see how they turn out. I picked out fabric to match the girls' room. :)
I stopped by Ashley's parents sale yesterday and snagged some awesome patio furniture plus, two end tables and a coffee table that matches. They are light wood which needs a little TLC but, they are exactly what I want in tables. They have chunky legs and the coffee table is big and low to the ground. I was going to paint them, but I am thinking of staining them a medium color. I hope to start working on these next week. This weekend is too busy, so they will have to chill in the back room until next week.
Next thing on my agenda? I am going to paint our shutters on the house. They are in need of a little TLC, so I am still contemplating colors. Keep you updated.
It has been so much fun doing projects around the house this summer. It is definitely giving me something to do during my free time!

OOH those blinds look great. LeeAnn made some of those, didn't she? Are you using wood blinds or like plastic/metal? All of our blinds (plastic... cheap) look like hell because the boys have broken them. I should do this!!
Geez you've been busy! Things seem to go in waves around here- we'll get going for a while and then... nothing.
Can't wait to see how everything turns out!
