Sum-sum-summertime!

I saw a couple fellow   bloggers post about what they were doing this summer. We do not have too big of an agenda around here, but there are a few things I would like to accomplish before we have to say goodbye to summer.

  1. Grow a garden. Our garden will be ready for picking veggies really soon. This year, we planted: tomatoes, lettuce, corn, chile & jalapeno & yellow peppers, zucchini squash, butternut squash, cucumbers, potatoes, onions-red and yellow and potatoes. Reyna loves helping with the weeding and I am sure once it is time to pick, it is going to be hard keeping her out of there.
  2. Go strawberry picking. Reyna & I picked one afternoon. We left Roobs with my mom. She will be ready next year.
  3. Blueberry pick.
  4. Have a picnic in the park.
  5. Nixon Pool, Rolling Hills and/or Turtle Cove. The day(s) we do Rolling Hills or Turtle Cove, we hope to meet up with Aunt Kristin!!!
  6. Visit Ludington. We have gone once and we are heading up there this weekend for the 4th.
  7. Catch fireflies. Reyna would everynight if we let her stay up for it.
  8. Toledo Zoo
  9. Buy a pop up. This was definitely not on the summer list, but we just added it. We found a really good deal and couldn't pass it up. It is a gently used pop up with two beds on each side (duh), a table, sink, fridge, stove that works in or out, microwave and built in furnace and air. We are taking it to Ludington this weekend and camping instead of staying with Jades parents. Reyna is very excited to have her very own camper. She keeps thanking Jade for buying her a camper!!! lol. :)
  10. Take advantage of the Falling Waters Trail bike trail being right next to our house.
What are you looking forward to most this Summer?
