My Pick Monday

Have you ever bought a jicama? Aren't they funny looking? Over the Summer, my Aunt Gail and cousin were visiting and bought a jicama to make a really yummy salad. The salad was delicious, but the jicama is reaaaally good by itself. We have been buying them ever since. All you do is peel and slice it. It has the texture of a potato/apple. It is a little sweet, but it's potato like. Ruby loves it. I could probably eat an entire one by myself. If you are not familiar with them, they are at Meijer over by the avocados and jalapenos. If you happen to pick one up, let me know what you think.

My Pick Monday

Last year, my Aunt introduced to a really good hair product for the girls. I don't know what the heck Ruby does to her hair at night, but it gets so tangled at night. Reyna's isn't too bad, but I still have to work thru a knot here and there. You cannot use this on dry hair, but after the girls get out of the shower, I spray their hair down and brush it and bam, the knots are gone. It is sooooo much better than the detangler sprays you buy for kids....Not to mention, my favorite smell is Biolage.

My Pick Monday

I love Crocodile Creek products. We were recently @ The Toy House and Reyna found her backpack for school + lunch box. I still cannot believe in a couple of weeks, she will be heading off to school.

For our baby shower, we received some of their dinnerware and we still are still using it with Ruby 5.5 years later. It makes a great gift, it is durable and adorable. If you haven't already check out their website. I think you will love it.

My Pick Monday

I was out shopping with my Grandma a while back and picked up a bottle of "Mrs. Meyer's" lavender scented dish soap. I LOVE it. The smell is delicious and it makes my kitchen smell sooo good. I was actually @ Wal-Mart when I found this product and I searched on their website to see where else I could purchase it and it is also sold at Target and Kroger. I like it because of the smell, but I have also been trying to stay away from cleaners with harsh chemicals. This one has all natural oils, and it is not tested on animals, which is definitely a bonus.

My Pick Monday

Since the girls, I have had a hard time finding jeans. You know how it goes, things are just not the way they used to be even if you are back to your pre-preggo weight. It is no secret, I love Macy's. I have always had good luck finding everything I need there. They have great sales, PLUS I have good luck with shoes because of my size. And, they ALWAYS send me coupons. Anyway....Kristin & I were there a couple months ago with the girls and I tried on a couple pairs of these and LOVED them. I bought three different fits that day. Since I am short, I have a problem with length, but these were perfect. The other day when I was in A2, I stopped @ the mall and found a couple of really cute shirts. Isn't this, and this, and this really cute????

Speaking of cute.................... Meet Mr. Mason Andrew. I had the pleasure of visiting him yesterday. Hopefully, he will only have to stay another week in the NICU and then be able to come home.

My Pick Monday

Have you bought these before? The girls (Reyna in particular) love Gogo Squeeze applesauce. I love that they have a cap on them, so if they do not eat the entire thing, the cap goes back on and it does not go to waste. No mess, no spoon. Easiest.Snack.Ever. With Reyna starting this fall, I will definitely be putting these in her lunch. Oh and traveling to Ludington this Summer? Yep, they will be in our car for a quick, easy and healthy snack.

My Pick Monday

Jessica over at Messes and Miracles does a "My Pick Monday" and I always look forward to see what she is going to post. I love to see what kind products she recommends. Whether it be something as simple as a cleaning product a new food product, it's fun to hear what other love and rely on, right?

{Oh, by the way, I am off of my blogging hiatus. I figured this would be a good week to start back. It's Monday and well I am ready to blog again.}

My pick for Monday? MAC Mineralize Foundation with SPF 15.   A while back, I asked on Facebook what other's were using for their face. My skin was started to change and I knew I needed to make a change. Well, I went to Macy's one evening and ended up at the MAC counter. I LOVE this stuff. It works as a foundation/powder combo. I recommend applying with a foundation brush. It was a little pricey, but it has lasted a while. My skin looks great and I have not had any breakouts since using it. If you are looking for a new foundation, give it a try. I do not think you will be disappointed.
